Multiplayer DRM
Can't tell you how ridiculously irritated I am at this game. Sounds like the sort of game you could play remotely, or even play by sending save files through email, right? NOPE. There is NO LAN play, no exporting games, absolutely NO way to play this game without being logged in to a server. This game makes the exact same mistake Diablo 3 did, no offline play. Worse, it's intentional. They WANT to force you to log in to their server every time you play in order to track you and control how many people are playing the game. They claim it's in order to curb hacking, but I'm calling B.S. This would be the PERFECT offline tactical game for people who don't have internet access, or only occasionally have it. My son and I live WAY out in the middle of nowhere. We have access to internet access.. but we don't HAVE internet access. At least not reliable internet access. I REALLY REALLY want to be able to play this game with him, and discuss tactical situations and etc.. but the devs of this game more assuredly crippled it than any other example I have ever seen in the history of gaming. FURTHERMORE.. it seriously irritates me that GOG would even allow this kind of DRM on their website. They're encouraging it by allowing it, and just as sure as baby bunnies are born every spring, devs will keep creating crippled games as long as it's allowed.
