Welcome to Fort Solis
Responding to an unusual alarm call from a remote mining base, Jack arrives at the dark and desolate Fort Solis. With storm warnings imminent, he heads inside to make desperate contact. As the night grows longer, events escalate, spiral out of control and the mystery of what happened to the crew begins to reveal itself. The storms is approching, limiting Jack’s escape as he looks to hold out until morning arrives.
Immersive Storytelling
Fort Solis looks to deliver a high-fidelity experience designed to completely immerse the player in the cast and their long night. With performances from Roger Clark, Troy Baker and Julia Brown, Fort Solis looks to deliver emotion, fear, empathy and much more with every chapter.
Supporting the core narrative are additional instances of story such as audio logs, surveillance footage of past or present events. Accompanying those are video logs recorded by all crew detailing the events before and perhaps even after that night the alarm was triggered at Fort Solis…
Grounded by the visuals
Fort Solis brings to players, the next level of details, facial and body animations. With the help of Unreal Engine 5.2 Fort Solis realistic universe is brought to life!
An isolated mining complex
The skeleton of Fort Solis is built above and below ground. The base contains a variety of locations each with their own surface and sub surface levels. Players will be able to explore the isolated storm bearing surface, the creepy service tunnels absent of any light or the multiple departments that help Fort Solis function on a day-to-day basis such as Engineering, Medical and Communications.
As the story unfolds locations can easily be revisited for additional story context or continue to serve as a backdrop to the fate that awaits Jack with each passing hour.

Really enjoyed the story, the ambiant music and the atmosphere.
Only annoying thing is the default keyboard settings comes with AZERTY, would not normaly be an issue, but the game relies on hiting certain keys quickly and it still shows AZERTY keys on the screen (like A for up) when you have changed it to QWERTY (so should show W for up).... so it ruins a little the experience. A restart seem to solve the problem.
Other than this problem, I did not find any issue. The story line is linear, so no matter what you do, the game will always play out the same with the same ending.
Fort Solis is a narrative-driven sci-fi thriller that feels more like an interactive movie than a traditional game and that’s exactly where its strength lies. Set on a remote Mars mining outpost, the story unfolds over one unsettling night as engineer Jack Leary responds to a mysterious distress signal. What follows is a tense, atmospheric journey grounded in realism rather than action.
What the game does well
Stunning Atmosphere & Visual Fidelity
Fort Solis is visually exceptional. Environments are richly detailed, lighting is cinematic, and the barren Martian backdrop adds constant tension. The motion capture and facial performances—from actors like Troy Baker and Roger Clark—are among the most believable in the genre.
Strong Acting & Storytelling
This is where Fort Solis truly shines. It unfolds like a prestige TV episode: slow, deliberate, and character-driven. The mystery is grounded in plausible science and corporate negligence rather than supernatural twists, giving the narrative a gritty realism. The voice acting is convincing and adds emotional depth to the unfolding events.
Immersive Sound Design
Subtle environmental noises, layered audio logs, and a minimal soundtrack all work together to keep you on edge. Even quiet moments feel loaded with tension.
Where it falls short
Pacing Isn’t for Everyone
Gameplay is extremely light. There’s minimal exploration, almost no puzzles, and no combat. Players looking for action or interactivity might find the experience too slow or too linear.
Short Runtime
Most players finish the story in 3–4 hours. While it feels tight and intentional, some may find the length too brief for the price.
Final Verdict
Fort Solis isn’t a game you play so much as one you experience. If you enjoy story-driven, atmospheric adventures like Firewatch, Observation, or Until Dawn, but with a grounded sci-fi flair, you’ll find plenty to love here. Its production values and performances are top-tier, and the tension builds bea
Extremely slow and boring. Lots of reading. And slow. Maybe 2 stars because the story, but still too slow and boring. I got so bored with it, that I found myself google-ing the word "boring", and it felt more refreshing than this game.
