Fantastic driving game!
Wonderful physics and gameplay. Very difficult at times (if you want the gold medal in every track) but always rewarding. Simply one of the best car simulators I've ever played. And the extra games are very funny too. Recommended 100%.

crash mania
i like this game: racing, tuning, crashing. the game is pure crashing fun :) what is missing: you can tune the car for more speed, but what about the exterior?

This is another of those early 2000s shovelware drivers where handling is close to zero regardless of the settings and input device. The races are mostly held at dusk so the lighting is low and directional to mask the mediocre graphics and make steering all the more difficult. No widescreen except for mods, and no race line. Until GOG gets some Need for Speed, at least we have two solid titles in Formula Legends and JDM worth spending money on.

Good, but the sequel is better
It's a good game on it's own merits, and we wouldn't have its Flatout 2 without it, but this game can feel a bit lacking when compared to the sequel. If you're new to the series, then go with Flatout 2. If you want some extra maps and to see where the series started, then go with Flatout 1.
