Entertaining enough, lots of eye candy
First of all, a word of warning. Although parts of the game can be a bit frustrating and some of the achievements are difficult to get, do NOT install the patch that you’ll find when looking for an easy way to unlock everything in Five Hearts. The patch is a virus. Not only will it screw up your PC, it also seems to corrupt the game/game data on GOG/Steam. Once you’ve used the patch you will always get that virus again whenever you install the game. You will never be able to play it again. You’ve been warned. What I liked about the game: - All of the actresses are very attractive, likeable, feminine, and the acting is really good. - Most of the videos and cut scenes are well done, and you can see that the developers (and the girls) put some effort and work into it. The quality is certainly a lot better than most other dating games I’ve seen and never played. What could have been better: - The German/English subtitles are less than perfect. The translation sometimes makes no sense at all. Not that it matters too much as long as it doesn’t prevent you from progressing and unlocking all endings and videos. - For a casual game like this, some achievements are too difficult to get. - The music is ok, but gets annoying eventually. There is no option to switch it off without switching off the sound entirely. While it’s not a perfect game, I’ll still give it five stars, one for each of the adorable actresses, who are the main reason this game is worth playing. After playing it I looked at a number of similar games, but none of them appealed to me like Five Hearts did. There will be a sequel coming out soon, though. Looking forrward to that!
