F.E.A.R. Platinum includes the original F.E.A.R. and its two addons: F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate.
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities.

A masterclass in shooters!
Gunplay feels and looks amazing (for the most part) even by todays standards.
Story in this game is a bit... meh. The expansions are only really good for new levels, because the story isn't delivered too well after the main campaign.
"Horror" isn't a good title as the games horror relies on creepy-ish visuals, and describing FEAR as a horror fps put me off of playing it. Glad I changed my mind, as it is really a must-play for anyone who likes fps games!
To me, one of the best shooters in the early 2000's. Advertised as an horror game, I think its more like your typical FPS but whit a some horror vibes splashed on top to flesh out the story a bit. Expect jump scares here and there but nothing really terrifying, though I gotta say the general atmosphere was great overall.
Great gunfights, great AI that will try to flank and corner you, great use of particle and smoke effects, really satisfying gun sound effects.
Graphically is almost 20 years old but I think it holds up pretty well to this day.
Unfortunately running it on Windows 10 proved difficult since I had massive performance issues even though my hardware was obviously overkill for a game this old. After some investigation, I solved the issues setting the game to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode and installing this .dll file on the games folder:

Wonderful combination of excellent shooting, generous amount of bullet time and incredible sound design. The enemies are very chatty , yelling things like"He's trying to flank us", "He wiped out the whole squad!" with their radio-distorted voices, which gives each encounter a personal feel. Their death roars are vicious, and they flail when a nailgun bolt staples them to a wall.
This game was designed to put a smile on your face. Do yourself a favor and play it.
The stupidest dumbest fuck dumb fucking dumb fuck review I've ever seen outside of Steam!
Well done dumb fuck!
The invasion of these dumb fuck reviews is far from over it seems!
As for the game, yes, it is very good for it's age....... but I am having problems on 2020s era hardware in that it starts lagging, MASSIVELY, once it's been running for quarter of an hour. Quitting and reloading cures it sure - but it's a real pain.
No point in submitting a ticket - all GOG "Support" ever say these days is "GOG GALAXY! GOG GALAXY! GOG GALAXY! GOG GALAXY"! Useless dumb fucks!
