Best in game Dust, no joke.
The most impressive part of this game is the dust and smoke created from gunfire. I know that doesn't sound like much but it was done so well. Hitting different walls or surfaces creates different amounts of dust. Grenades and rockets add more. It's very easy to light up and area and create a dust cloud you can not see through at all. It adds a whole new element to the game. In tight quarters being a poor shot will blind you. I'm surprised nothing else I have played even comes close in the visual impairment caused by gunfire department. I'd give the main story and characters a 3/5. The dust is really the only thing that made this game stand out for me but it really is worth playing just to experience that and be disappointed at newer games for not matching this feature.

Eerie, Heart Pumping and Brilliant!
Monolith's 2005 game F.E.A.R. is among the best-looking, creepy, and most awesome game! From the combat, the creepiness, and even down to the small things like smoke, dust, walls cracking and breaking from bullet and explosion impacts, water effects, just so much detail! This game beats the s--t out of newer AAA games that have come out in the last 5 years. The gameplay is smooth, the visuals are great, and if you're a horror/action connoisseur like I am, then I recommend it! (Sorry for any bad grammar.)

One of the best FPS games I've played
F.E.A.R. is a combination of FPS action and horror, and it's an extremely good game. Your enemies provide a real challenge and the environments are well-designed and suitably spooky. This turned out to be one of the best FPS games I've ever played (and I've played a lot!). F.E.A.R. Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate: As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities.
