F.E.A.R. Platinum includes the original F.E.A.R. and its two addons: F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate.
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities.

This is the first time i played his game in about 40 years. I have nothing bad to say all about this game. it runs just beautiful on my Asus Rog Ally Extreme Z1 512GB. Everything i tnis game is immaculate.
The F.E.A.R. Trilogy, HALF-LIFE franchises, and CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: ESCAPE FROM BUTCHER BAY and ASSAULT ON DARK ATHENA needs to be remade and updated for next gen consoles ESPECIALLY for the PS5 PRO into complete editions ASAP!
...RUN! I usually end up playing single-player games with cheat codes, since after a while I really would like shooting that really big gun more than twice per game, etc.
But F.E.A.R. is something else. Even *knowing* I can't be killed, have every armament in digital creation, and am functionally the most dangerous thing around, I STILL tense up. This game has atmosphere in spades, and will give you memories for decades to come. Like the first thunderstorm in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., or your first dragon in Skyrim, there is something about walking through abandoned offices, hospitals, and city streets at night... These are no zombies to be killed en masse: nightmares are coming to life, and nothing can be done by the US military. In fact, this game has the ONLY satisfactory answer for why you, the player, don't immediately suffer the horrific fate of all who come before you! But first, you have to go where you really don't want to: forward.
SPOILER ALERT:
A man name Paxton Fettel, incredibly powerful (and *seemingly* insane, but not) escapes from Armacham Technologies Corp. (ATC). One of the most gifted telepaths known, he was to be the commander of armies of soulless clones. These clones are armed to the teeth, better than humans in combat, unfeeling, relentless, with armor, modern and futuristic weapons, helicopters, and one goal: do whatever Paxton thinks.
You play an unbelievably gifted soldier working for the government, a paranormal-event military reconnaissance group called F.E.A.R. Your mission starts off as "kill Fettel, everything goes back to normal". But a ghostly little girl, Alma, keeps showing up, and where she is, people die. Horribly. But not you.
Play this game. Find out the relationship between you, Fettel, and Alma. And near the end, just when you think you're safe... watch as nightmares tear through the walls of reality and step into the new daylight. LITERALLY.
Trashy gunplay, weapons with bad feedback, bullet-spongy enemies, bullet-magnet player to force the bullet time mechanic; all of it to experience a subpar horror story about a little girl. There is a retro charm to it, it shows its age in a good way, both in terms of story and visuals, but don't expect to find a "true classic" shooter or a particularly effective horror experience.
Three stars for excellent presentation and the solid level design, the likes of which we haven't seen since the Half-Life 2 era.
F.E.A.R. is a game about family and killing thousands of soldiers with the same uniforms, with slow motion and kung fu
The gameplay is so satisfying, it is unbelievable. It is one of those games that I still pick up, every now and then, just because killing soldiers and using kung fu is just so fun. And they feel dangerous, just one of them and a bad corner, and you are dead. It old school quick save shooting game.
the thing that makes the game still look good to this day, is the Shadows and shading is phenomenal still, and effects when gun fights begins and leaves rooms half destroyed. The levels look really boring, and you will be happy when blood pops up the room and some bullet holes.
atmosphere is weird, because the sound effects and music make it a horror game, but whenever I go into a gunfight i feel like a badass. And the gun fights are just so addictive, than I just want to get all the spooky stuff out of the way, so I can get back to the fight.
The horror doesn't work on me, but it does give the game a unique texture to it. the soldiers talking is so interesting to listen to with their good AI.
Some of the parts of the game is uneven, but oh my god. It's just so fun to play and the dlc's extraction point is so fun, would recommend.
