F.E.A.R. Platinum

Even today, there aren't that many first person shooters that make you feel this close to the action. Is it the refractions of the grenades exploding, which looks absolutely amazing when slowing time, or is it because of the bullet effects and the chips and debris and smoke filling the room on prolonged gunfights? Or maybe the satisfying crunch of sliding into an enemy to send him flying and finishing him off with a shotgun blast to the chest midair, while in slow-mo? Or is it the fear of the supernatural - that annihilates friend and foe - that creeps in whenever the action slows down? THIS is the absolut best slow-mo game there is. And it's also absolutely scary at times (I know of two near-heart-attack moments)! Also: if you can, PLAY IT IN VR!! You'll shit your pants! It is fucking amazing!

This is the one of the best FPS game I have played. It offers so much thrill for more than 30 hours. It's totally worth the full price, however it does go on sale from time to time. I only hope there could be a remaster, or maybe even a remake, this game really needs some more love.

One of the most amazing FPS games I've ever played.

Best in the series. The horror bits actually mad you jump a lil (when I was 15). Gun play was solid, favorite weapons- dual pistols and the nail gun. The AI was great first game I played where they didn't rush you and would flank you. The graphics are still good My favorite FPS

If you never played this..pick it up. Look past aged graphics and enjoy: spearing clones with spikes to the wall, kicking people in the face in slow mo, blowing up a challenging mechs and some good spooky settings. My only beef with it was that it was a bit short, but i guess all the addons extend it somewhat. weapon mechanics are very good, you actually feel like every weapon is different. AI is also solid. Story is above average although the acronym for FEAR is a bit silly. Bottom line it is a solid shooter and is worth your time.
