F.E.A.R. Platinum includes the original F.E.A.R. and its two addons: F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate.
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities.

Update (20 March 2025)
Limited FPS to 60 (configurable), ensuring smoother performance.
It's really short and pretty easy. The story is fun enough despite the "horror" sections being really lacking. The gunplay is also good, but don't expect it to really evolve. The hyper-linear levels, endlessly grey corridors, and really easy to abuse slo mo making this game a bit of a boring breeze at times. Despite that, I still had my fun with it.
installed and fired up the game but I am not seeing the expansions appear in my library or in the game screen. already played through FEAR and I know its a great shooter but i was looking to play through the expansions as the ones on steam appear bugged but at least I can play them. aparently there is DRM preventing me from actually playing the expansion. I'll update the review if i can get it to work.
If I could, I would have given this game 2.5/5 or 5/10. But considering that I bought it for $2.49 I'll round up to 3/5 because of the very good bang for the buck.
I did not find this game particularly frightening. The scary part of this game was mostly jump scares, and they were often not really dangerous. So after a short while I ended up with more or less just shrugging them off. I also found the story to be a bit weak: There was some phone answering messages that gave some information, and some computers with some information, and a "narrator" that told some stories. But there was also some parts of the story that did not seem to be followed up on and thereby leaving holes in the story.
The enemies is a bit monotonous with not much diversity, and they are a bit poorly distributed: For a while you do not encounter any enemies, and then suddenly you meet five or more at the same time! I made the mistake of playing through the game at the second hardest difficulty, and especially towards the very end of "Perseus Mandate" the difficulty is ridiculously high compared to the rest of the game.
There is a big bug in the game that makes the game freeze and display the message "Disconnected from server". This can probably be fixed by reducing Texture Resolution to medium or lower.
The game can be played in 1920*1080 or higher if you start the game, adjust settings, and then edits the settings.cfg file for the game in the C: drive. Note that the settings will be reset if you enter the settings with the resolution after editing the .cfg-file under the folder TimeGate Studios/Monolith Productions depending on what part of the game you play. It might be smart to use Pixel Doubling if the game stutters and/or reduce visual settings.
All in all: If you like older games and you get this game at a reduced price, it will give you many hours of entertainment for a low price. The game is not bad, so it might also be a bargain for you at full price.
After trying this game, I get horrible FPS and memory leaks with choppy graphics and gameply. Have tried to obvious fixes and tips in the forum to no use. So, the game is fun, or rather, my memory of the game says it was fun. Now, I haven't even suffered to play more than fifteen minutes and restarting all the time.
Check up on the forums for the bad performance and see if you want to gamble.
