Endlessly Classic
Fate feels just as fresh as it did back in 2005, and its procedural dungeons still somehow keep from feeling too stale. Even looking back on it all these years later, it stands out as more than just a point & click Diablo-clone- Sure, its story isn't much to sneeze at- And it may not be the best looking title of the era-- But its lighthearted fantasy framing, endless replayability, and the suprisingly robust systems it has underhood really pull together to give Fate some real soul and a ton of heart. If you missed this one back in the day, or you've been wondering about a replay, Fate is a game that, as unassuming as it may appear, has real potential to suck you in for hours at a time.
