Description
Puzzle, strategize, and manage your resources in this Prologue to Farlander, for now you have the safety of earth's atmosphere as you learn what it takes to be the best colony in the ever competitive market. But before you can be trusted with the lives of colonists you must first prove your worth here on earth.
Main Features:

Puzzle-like terraforming system
Use a turn to select one “terraforming kit” to shape the landscape and get it ready for your colony. Place a water drop title in a canyon to create a water source and any flat land around it will become fertile soil. Raise canyons to create flatland so that it can become fertile soil or be built on. Raise mountains so that turbines can be placed near by to create electricity.

The only catch is your terraforming kits are preset in various shapes. A kit might have two water drop tiles and one that lower the terrain. This might give you water in one spot and a canyon where you wanted to build. The player must carefully place tiles to mitigate any downsides.

Buildings
Create the habitat for your settlers by placing necessary buildings for their survival, like farms, water pumps, wind turbines, and more. Build factories to supply your colony and have entertainment centers to keep your colony the premiere place to live.

Procedural map generation
Each new game will feel completely different with procedural map generation, yet still customizable to meet your desired level of challenge.

Sweet game, needs more work.

The game looks comfy but that's only on the surface. I went through a couple of frustrating moments where it felt like the colonist influx was designed to completely throw you out of balance, forcing you to fiddle with resource production in a desperate effort to keep going. Rightly so, you always need to be a couple of steps ahead of what's coming, and I only got the hang of it after retrying the third mission, but that's the idea. I enjoy the emerging puzzle that terraforming kits produce and the fact that you can store them leaves more room for choice if you're patient enough. Farlanders seems to work on a solid concept. The only thing that worries me is the reduced number of different buildings -- which is fine for the first three missions -- but I suspect the only new additions would be specific terraforming facilities to compensate for the kit randomness and to diversify your option pool. My serious gripe though is with the code optimization. Running Farlanders makes my laptop fans spin as if on KSP, which isn't a good sign. I want to enjoy the pleasant sounds instead of feeling like I'm in the server room.

great puzzle with RNG frustration

This game is a simple yet challanching puzzle game. You build a mars outpost by placing buildings on the map. However, the autogenerated map had different tiles like canyons, water, ice, minerals, sand, etc. Placing buildings can be challanching as you can only build on firm sand. Every x turn you'll get to terraform the landscape (ofc in a puzzeling way). And grow your population. (This is; if you have enough food, water and power). However, the game feels a bit buggy from time to time. I have issues with zooming in/out. And after I failed a missions I had to restart from scratch for some reason. If you like challances and puzzle games; give this game a spin!

A prologue is not demonstation software.

Interactive demonstration software -- demo -- is too vague... people don't know what this means or what to expect. We need a new word to encapsulate the concept of it. A new vibe because suckers who play videogames are illiterate goldfish. Let's call this a preface! How about a proto-epic? Why not a warm-up? Oh, a tuning! Yes, let's call it a preamble. So freaking pretentious.

OK, some serious issues

Game is OK, the ability to move and adjust the view is sorely lacking making it impossible to use some areas of the map. Also the map generation is a bit 'wonky' in that it makes some maps that are just not playable at all.
