Sweet game, needs more work.
The game looks comfy but that's only on the surface. I went through a couple of frustrating moments where it felt like the colonist influx was designed to completely throw you out of balance, forcing you to fiddle with resource production in a desperate effort to keep going. Rightly so, you always need to be a couple of steps ahead of what's coming, and I only got the hang of it after retrying the third mission, but that's the idea. I enjoy the emerging puzzle that terraforming kits produce and the fact that you can store them leaves more room for choice if you're patient enough. Farlanders seems to work on a solid concept. The only thing that worries me is the reduced number of different buildings -- which is fine for the first three missions -- but I suspect the only new additions would be specific terraforming facilities to compensate for the kit randomness and to diversify your option pool. My serious gripe though is with the code optimization. Running Farlanders makes my laptop fans spin as if on KSP, which isn't a good sign. I want to enjoy the pleasant sounds instead of feeling like I'm in the server room.
