Description
With the Ultimate Edition, Bethesda Softworks offers you the chance to double-down and get the complete package of New Vegas fun. Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition includes the full suite of highly acclaimed add-on content: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road. To sweeten the pot, you’ll be armed with the latest cache of unique weapons, ammo types and recipes from the most recent add-on packs: Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners Arsenal. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer of the Mojave or playing the game for the first time, you’ll find there are more friends and enemies to make, more consequences to your actions and more opportunities to live in glory or infamy throughout the Wasteland. The choices you make will be as crucial to your survival as ever.

Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.

It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead… and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures, and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.

Enjoy your stay.
  • Feel the Heat in New Vegas!
Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip. See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.
  • Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles!
A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle.
  • New Systems!
Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas, such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty. Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase “up close and personal”. Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks, or get right to the action using the finely-tuned real-time combat mechanics.
  • An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns!
With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have devised a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time.
  • Let it Ride!
In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game.

One of the best games of all time

NOTE: This game deserves a detailed review which does not fit here as GOG format is limited to 2000 characters, so here is only a part of my original review. The full review of Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition for PC is posted on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R369KVEHZVOA9W?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl [...] EDITED: Added section on a DLC (Old World Blues); Added section on enemy AI. EDITED: Added comment on memory leak induced crashes (see CONS for details/fix) NOTE: This review is for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition (PC), not any other version of this game. Content: I. Introduction II. Cons III. Pros IV. Enemy AI V. Final thoughts I. Introduction [...] Some years ago, when Fallout: New Vegas (FONV) first launched there were many reports that it was very buggy, crashed a lot and was downright unplayable, so I stayed away from it back then. Now I decided to give it a shot and I am supremely happy that I did. To find out why, read on. II. Cons The negatives of this game are few and far between, so let's get them out of the way from the start. [...] III. Pros (also see section IV on enemy AI) This is the best Fallout game ever made (yes, better than Fallout 4 too). It learns the lessons of all Fallout games that came before it, it also learns the lessons from other, non-Fallout games and incorporates them all in FONV brilliantly. LORE AND STUFF: FONV builds perfectly on the lore of all previous Fallout games and includes all of their very best features, including music and items. FONV takes place years after the events of Fallout 2 and 3 but you will encounter many situations which allow you to relive the most glorious moments and the most touching friendships of the past. I will give you a few "spoilers", but trust me, what I will tell you to illustrate the above point is just a drop in the bucket and will not ruin the game for you. First, nearly all bugs which existed in the original version of FONV are gone. [...]

One of the very best.

This is the real deal, made by the original creators of Fallout. Managing to be both HUGE and deep, with countless places, great storyline (that you see changing the world as you progress) and Obsidian-quality dialogues, this is the very best Fallout and one of the greatest RPG of all times (I would rank only Planescape : Torment and The Witcher 3 above). It's an absolute no-brainer for anyone who like RPG.

What a start

It's a great game. I'm glad my first introduction to the series starts with a bang. The factions, world building, weapons, and enemies feel fully realized and lived in. One of the standout elements is the RPG choices and writing. I'm engrossed in these characters backstories and personalities. The gameplay has aged pretty well, and somehow it's more fun than Bethesda's newest titles. My only problem with this game is that the level design of the world is more restrictive than expected. I want to climb this mountain and explore. "Sorry, it's an invisible wall." That sucks, but overall, it's a minor hiccup in an incredible game.

Best of the 3D Fallout games

Back to the wasteland, where Fallout 2 left off. Pros: - this is not really a wasteland anymore, rather post-post-apocalypse. Nice change if you ask me. - lots of memorable characters, and some of my all-time favorites. (Joshua Graham) - stylish, and immersive, with internal logic - no level scaling. Yay! (I understand this is debatable, but I love this) - usually multiple solutions for the same quest. Sneaky and pacifist (mostly, not sure about animals) is possible. - the reactivity of the world is great - surprisingly low number of collect X filler quests Cons: - looks were outdated even in 2010. Bloodlines from 2004 looks better :) - that game engine is disasterous - the companion mechanics (not personalities) are not really thought out - Caesar's legion is mostly comic book evil. Unfortunately not even close to the antagonists of the originals (the Master and the Enclave) - while Fallout always had a wild west background theme, the amount of checkered shirts, cowboy hats and sixshooters a bit too much in this game. New Vegas is a game where you actively have to forgive it's mistakes to love it. If you can, this is still an enjoyable ride!
