Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

I have no issues with other games however after loading into the main menu and selecting to start the game i cannot get 1 minute into the loading screen before it crashes. I have no mods installed, my graphics driver is up to date. I remember playing New Vegas on my PS3 which I was a huge fan of when i was younger so I bought it on GoG hoping to relive those memories only for it not to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times over to no avail. Obsidians Fallout New Vegas is a great game but its unplayable for me on PC.

Game is ok. I mean, as someone pointed out "best 3D Fallout" - and he/she's right. Story, dialogue, characters are better than the F3. Everything else - more or less the same. Of course today (2021) you definitely want to use mods for textures (at least).

Im playing without any non official mods, so based game with official mods. After getting into the game and spend a lot of hours, I realized that major bug occured in the game. I am villified with the Legion and even then they are friendly towards me. When I kill one in their group for exp. others get hostile but just for the moment and then again turns friendly and start talking lol. Killed my desire to continue playing...uninstalled.

For some reason I thought purchasing this game (again) on GOG would make the game run better. It.did.NOT. Still choppy movement, still Crash To Desktop. And now infinity loading screen lock up. I'm having no luck with this game, and playing the game vanilla is a waste of time, but I've had no luck with any unofficial patches or elsewise, and I shouldn't NEED to worry about unofficial patches. Bugthesda indeed. I only hope that in the future Bethesda makes some official patches, when I say I want to do a playthrough straight vanilla, I mean it. ps: Compatiability trick doesn't work note: This game is broken between the trip from Nipton and Novac, it always breaks when I either get near the Legion encounter (not the one in town, the one over the mountains) or the caravan spawn.

I can see why people like this more than fallout 3, but I am not one of those people. I didn't think it would be possible but this game is more broken than 3. I had all the right mods to try and fix everything but still had a lot of trouble. I like the world more than 3, it is very western which is great. writing is still just as good as 3 but the overall story wasn't my cup of tea. Overall I wish my time with this game was better but it wasn't. fallout 3 for me is the superior game.
