Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

One of the most immersive RPG's of the decade with a wide variety of factions to talk to, plenty of guns to fire, and an open world that may appear desolate on the surface but has ample amounts of personality underneath to be discovered by the player. All this now enjoyed DRM-free!

I was so happy to give this game another go as i've played through it maybe 3 or 4 times on steam, but i'm a good ways into the game where i keep having issues with it not being able to load saves. I'm not exaclty sure what the problem is, but i'm not going to finish it this time because i keep having those issues. Looking at the review score it seems most people are experiencing a good time more over so please feel free to give it a try.

Of all the 3D Fallout games, Fallout New Vegas does it best. New Vegas captures what made the old 2D isometric Fallout games so memorable, and tosses in modern creature comforts. The southwestern setting sets New Vegas apart right from the opening. The various factions you can side with or against require different strategies, offer different advantages and disadvantages, and drastically alter the course of the main story. The morally ambiguous story and decisions feel more grounded in reality. The dialogue options reflect the aforementioned moral ambiguity and sometimes have dark humor. The variety of weapons and weapon mods are fun to tinker with and force you to consider your combat options. The missions and stories attached to companions are fun and flesh out the back story of New Vegas' setting. Obsidian has made the best 3D Fallout game to date.

This is the truest and best Fallout there is out there. Yes , it might be dated, but you can mod it up to new hights making it relevant even today thanks to an awesome community and fan base. Get it on GoG since it is DRM-free and less hassle to work with. You can also get this to run on Linux decently, with some bumps (see Proton).

Nice balance of fps & role playing elements. Thoughtful, deep and clever writing. Fun to play. This is the best Fallout title... so far!
