Fallout 3

OK, so I have played Fallout 3 before, bought it here again, and can't get it to run out of the box, whereas I have a box edition that runs fine... ( I can also buy a steam key via a subsidiary for about 1/9th of the asking price here (Yeah, I did get it on sale here though, so much less). It's a COMMON, known fault in setup, FFS GOG, fix it....

One of my all-time favorite games

I am a fan of the Fallout game series and enjoyed the previous games, but this one has a special place in my heart as it was released when I had more time to play games (than I do now) and was the first Fallout game to have life-like graphics. I also appreciated the music, overall story, character development, quests, and the improvements in game play (e.g., targeting system). I purchased this game already on Steam but like it so much I decided to buy it DRM-free from GOG as well, especially given the great sale price!

Fallout 3 is awesome

Despite outdated graphics and some gameplay mechanics Fallout 3 is actually a pretty game that has aged well. It's interesting to explore the Fallout universe's version of a futuristic 1960s styled apocalyptic Washington D.C. The addons are pretty amazing too and better then I thought they'd be.

i LIKE IT, BUT...

... it crashes. A lot. While I enjoy gameplay, and the mechanics aren't as bas as some paint them to be, but the game crashes on Win7 and very often at that. Luckily I quicksave the game after some major discoveries, but it still doesn't help. I really appreciate GOG's effort to make this game play on Wi7 and higher (smth Steam sdoesn't have). I will keep the game and will play it, but its often CTDs force my hand to give this game only a 3-star review.
