Brilliant. Buy It!

Graphics are badly done. On my system i can play in small window only. No amount of trying to adjust the settings helps:( Really sad since original fallout is one of the best games ever. GoG with their half-baked ports ruin the experience. Same issues I have in Moto Racer and HoMM3.

The game is horrible outdated through it fundamantal mechanics, such as locking the best outcomes behind arbitrary rather then those states determining how well you can get to the best outcome. A walkthrough on hand in manditory for anything as you will get locked out of completing quests for, not even making mistakes but stuff like asking the wrong question, just doing anything not in the walkthough stops all progress and all your left with is a horrable grind. A fan patch is also manditory to stop the game from running as horrably as New Vegas, but it won't stop all your save files being randomly corrupted. Fuck this game.

Clunky at best. Learning how to play is a nightmare in itself. Three clicks at least for a QUICK save. You must click on a specific zone of a button (not the full button). How to use a Healing powder ? Could not find how... there is a 3' video on youtube (that I did not care to look at). No "highlight items" button. That's all after 10' of gameplay. There are good games from that era (Geneforge 1-2) that have a much better interface.

So is everyone going to ignore the fact that, in order to even get past the beginning, only one type of build will work? If you aren't a melee or unarmed combat specialist, expect to die repeatedly in the beginning segment even on the easiest difficulty. It doesn't matter how much choice and depth there is in the rest of the game if you can't even get past the beginning without using a very specific skillset. The combat is boring and uninvolved, and a much bigger part of the game than it should be. Sure, the dialogue is good. Sure, there are a lot of choices (in theory) about what to do and what kind of character to play. But in practice, it's really not an RPG because if you aren't a melee combatant, you're going to have a terrible time in the first part, because all of the gun type stats are pretty significantly lowered compared to the melee stats (especially unarmed), and you start out with a cruddy little spear that, if you didn't choose melee combat as one of your tag skills, has an average chance of about 20% to hit. I can't honestly recommend this as a true RPG because of that. If you like luck based combat that never favors you, and you like using melee characters, I guess this is an okay choice. But if you want a genuine RPG, either look for a save editor, or a different game.
