I owned this before it was available on GOG or Steam. I've put about 70 hours into my Steam version and at least double that from before I received the Steam conversion key. So worth it.

I love the demo for this game, which I would highly recommend and is on the games website. I have only played the demo so far but I have been waiting till it came to GoG to buy it. The fighting enemies is a little bit basic, but it does add a nice survival element and force you to plan out defenses as you grow. This scratches a city building/puzzle itch i didn't know I had.

liked: strangely intense at first, the challenge of optimization, the feeling that what you're doing is wrong, the music, its fast - zero lag, starts instantly. disliked: brutal requirements for endgame tech (when the game becomes a chore), limited interaction with aliens, no nuclear power (except for suit), no way to develop renewable resources besides electricity. would like to have seen: go native; pursue an alien biotech path.

Have it on steam for 1-2 month already. One of the best sandboxes I've ever played. There are several stages of the game: - manual gathering (5 minutes) - first extractors mine resources for you, still manual craft (10-20 minutes) - researching automation - creating automated factory for research resource - expanding factory to make research faster - everything is in smoke, different resources on belts - looks cool - you hate the factory as it has bad design - build few more automated productions - build more - you do not understand what is happening on your factory and how this sh*t works. I hope devs will add more features to the game, but even now it can provide at least few days of joy :)
