Incredibly satisfying!
This is one of the most satisfying games I have ever played. It's up there with Kerbal Space Program with the level of accomplishment you feel when you work out a better way to achieve a goal. You'll be creating production lines to build various items and fighting off the native creatures who eat your pollution and evolve into more dangerous creatures over time. The end goal is to build and launch a rocket, but the goal can be ignored in a quest to build faster / more energy efficient / better looking factories. Gameplay is incredibly addictive, it's one of those games where you think about it when you're not playing it, and if you're anything like me, you'll wake up with a new idea to improve production. Multiplayer adds a whole new level to the fun and the game is fully platform cross compatible, so you can play with Steam friends without any issues. This would be a great game for team building as you learn to work together and achieve goals and feel like you're improving your problem solving skills. I can't recommend this game enough, but avoid if you have exams coming up or anything else that will suffer from time lost to computer games!

love this game
i've spent 129hours on this so far( on steam). by this point there's nothing in the game that will surprise me anymore (unless you install mods (at least on steam they are available, not sure how mods work on gog)) and yet i still keep coming back to it. after you've explored the whole techtree there is no reason to build stuff except because it's fun to build stuff. if you need the game to set clear missions for you, don't buy this game. if you've spent days working on a castle in minecraft just because you felt like doing it, you will have fun optimising your factory and coming up with more effective designs in factorio. you can tune all the resources' availabilities and aggression level of the wildlife before generating your map, so difficulty is totally customizable. it's early access but it feels like a complete game to me.

Great Game, worth the investment!
This game even though it is a beta has enough content to stand alone. I have spent many days into the early morning playing this game. It is as simple or complicated as you want. You can have a neat orderly factory, or a spaghetti of conveyor-belts, power lines and pipes. This game is how you make it and is good for many age levels and backgrounds. I am an engineer and love this but many of my friends like the base building aspect. You can slap together a factory and just go exploring, or you can program every detail using logic gates and networks to control every aspect of production, your choice. The modding community is great and add a lot to the game if you find this game is not complex enough. As an engineer, i have never thought that i would need any more complexity than the standard version. The developers are updating the game with good content almost monthly and take feed back from modders and players. In all, for 20 dollars you could rent a few movies, go see a movie or two, or spend the next 100 hours learning basic logic gates and programming your factory, fighting off the alien life forms, and exploring the unknown.

Great game!
This game is endless fun, even after more than 200+ hours I still find fun things to do. Removing parts of your old base to make everything faster and more efficient, it's great!
