Stealth is good for yer health!

An oldie but goldie here. F-117 Stealth Fighter 2.0 is the upgraded version of Microprose's F-19 Stealth Fighter combat flight sim. Graphics are improved, everything looks a tad nicer, and yeah, it's a fun game. It's not for the trigger happy hotshot, tho, as in this game you try and sneak through the enemy's defenses rather than blasting everything out of the sky, but here lies the challenge. Reaching your target, dodging the enemy radar detection, trying to stay undetected gives quite a thrill, especially when out of nowhere enemy fighter patrols show up and you must react accordingly. So, those of you dudes'n dudettes out there who crave a combination of a combat flight sim and Sniper Elite, this is YOUR game!

Memories are made of this

Played this game to death when I first bought it, and its great to see it on GOG. 90's graphics, but what the hell, but wonderful gameplay. Now, if GOG were to release Flight Of The Intruder that would make my year. You fly an A6 or an F4 over Vietnam. If you fancy a good read try the book of the same name, written by an A6 pilot.

Good no great

This was a good game not a great one. It has a lot of good features and on GOG is well worth the money. However, IF they convert Gunship 2000, to GOG that would sell like hotcakes! I would put this in the same category as F15 Strike Eagle

Wow, what a fun game!

I played about all the flight demos I could get my hands on back in the early 90's and owned a few full games as well, so the genre certainly hits home to me... but honestly, this is so much more fun then I could have expected! Just r unning this quick little sneaky missions is a real blast, really look forward to tinkering in the different parts of the world. I wish there was a campaign, but at least there is a nice career mode which is a joy, a true rogue-like situation. If you are a fan of older flight sims or want to experience a blast from the past, dive in!

Almost perfect

The game is very good. I'm enjoying a lot even in these days, the dated graphics are only a problem when trying to see far objects. The plane controls is nice with keyboard (better with a joystick), but I miss the smootness of the Digitally Integration F-16 combat pilot, which is older. It has random missions in a bunch of scenarios, you can tweak the type of mission and difficulty. But again, that's all, there isn't a dynamic campaign at all, which is desirable in this type of games (like the DI F16 Combat Pilot - hint - I'd like to see it in GOG). I've played now around 60 hours, and I'm coming to this game from time to time to play some spare mission. It has a decent tutorial with the help of the manual, and it's easy to understand.
