Expendable

Expendable won't win many prizes for story but it's a fun frenetic shooting game with simply gorgeous graphics when you put the settings to max - the term "eye candy" springs to mind when you're confronted by its explosions of particle finery. Although the 3d perspective is more 2d and the models and environment don't stand up so much, it still looks amazingly good on today's systems. I won't buy this on here as I already own the big box version, but if you've never heard of it I heartily recommend giving it a go(g).

Seemed like a promising Smash TV / Total Carnage game but it has horrible tank controls which makes it almost impossible to play

I am finding this game to be quite a bit of fun but I have to use the Mouse and Keyboard for the best experience (keyboard can be remapped to the standard W,S,A,D configuration). I found it very difficult and frustrating playing with a Joystick. NOTE: In order to play fully with the mouse and keyboard, I had to unplug my joystick (xbox controller) - the game seems to get very confused (lots of lag) if you play the mouse and keyboard combo when a joystick is plugged in.

I really liked this game as a kid on the Sega Dreamcast. A nice gem of a shooter, except... the controls on PC are frustrating. It will definitely take some tweaking and testing to get it the way you like it. Avoid if you aren't willing to step through some hoops to make it more playable.

bad controls makes this game unplayable waste of money
