One of my first RPGs. I remember that I was amused by marvellous music and voice acting. But what I liked most was the crafting system - disassembing weapons and armors just to recreate them using better materials. I've installed my old 2 CDs copy on Win 10, and not only it worked perfectly without any compatibility issues but it also had implemented 1980x1020 resolution! A game made in 2001!
Reassuming - Evil Islands is a "must have" for every RPG fan.
Allods 3 is one of the best games what I have played. Replay it in 2020 and game still looks good and fun to play. Story is good and have a twist, graphic is ok too, especially if you like me don't care about all those useless effects, ray tracing, sharpening, filtering, reflections, teseletions, antilisings or other useless crap which only was created to sell you modern video cards and have zero effect on gameplay. So here you can move camera like you want scrolling from side to side, near or back high. Here you can try to kill enemys straight or play stealth and game has day and night circle so in the night the field of view is shorter, but you have also different spells to help you and the unique craft and combat system where you can choose what part of enemy body to hit, if you will strike in the hands enemy will strike slower if in the legs enemy will run slower and from back to the head its critical. Also you can pause game or combat in any time to think what strategy or spell to use. I actually don't know other games like this, somewhere near stand Wither 1, maybe need to try to replay it someday.
This game is a masterpiece I played LAN multiplayer co-op with 2 friends before, so we were a team of 3... Not sure how i managed to grab people into it but it was the best times of gaming. Use RADMIN or something like that to simulate a network.
My first encounter with this game was with a demo I had on a CD from a local gaming magazine called LEVEL, back then internet was still a luxury and magazines like that one were great for games and news.
I remember playing and finishing the demo and how much I enjoyed it.
The story is fun, the gameplay can be hard sometimes, forcing you to be careful when fighting and who you choose to fight.
It's a great gaming experience and I loved it and will pick it up GOG to play it once more.
