DONT BUY FOR MAC!
crashes immediately, very unstable, not the latest patch installed. So just dont buy for the mac.

I love this game
I loved Dungeon Keeper back in the day, and this is definitely heavily influenced by its style of gameplay. But Evil Genius also adds allot more. The macro game on the world map adds a really interesting layer of strategy, building up your base never gets old. Lot's of rooms, upgrades, furniture, to choose from. The whole henchmen thing is pretty cool. In DK you pretty much had to rely totally on your creatures AI to carry out your orders, here you have henchmen which are under your direct command. It feels a bit like the heroes in Warcraft III. Over all, a very nicely done game which is way underrated. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have any sort of level/mission editor. I would love to be able to make up my own maps and try out all sorts of crazy scenarios. Does anyone know if there is an expansion pack for this game?

Addictive but not satisfying
It's not a bad game, hence the 4/5 rating, but it has it's flaws. It seams there are games out there that do the same thing but better. Perhaps Dungeon Keeper, even though I have not played it actually.

A GOG but not a Best Old Game
Evil Genius is a fantastic game for today really low standards and while it didn't gained good reviews in 2004 it is still an incredibly fun game but..... this game is nothing compared the THE master : Dungeon Keeper. Still it's a good game and my brother just love being evil.
