Description
A dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper. This wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last.

The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful – and so malevolent – that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.
  • The thrilling conclusion to the Blackwell series.
  • Longest Blackwell game yet.
  • Two player characters with unique abilities – switch between ghost Joey and living Rosa.
  • Original musical score and a full voice-over.

If you liked The Blackwell Bundle, you'll love this one

The game plays more or less like the later episodes of The Blackwell Bundle (you may want to check out my review of that too) and you definitely should have finished the latter to fully appreciate the former. There is still a clue system where you can pick topics for conversations and you can seldom pair clues to elaborate on them. You also have a mobile that you can use to make calls, receive e-mails, look for info on internet etc. I've finished it in one go without any external help (I think that took me roughly 6 hours) so it's not much longer than the previous episodes. Moreover, although the game can't definitely be classified as hard, I won't say it's too easy either. The puzzles are fair (no moon logic involved) but not trivial. If you get stuck, you can chat with you partner to get some hint, but that again feels fair: it only gives you some direction without spoiling the whole thing. I'd say I went through it so fast rather because I got engaged by the story, which is really well written (like in the other games of the saga, by the way). It's somewhat similar to The Blackwell Deception but with many improvements. In fact, I've had already read a summary of the plot before purchasing it (I've kind of a weird relationship with spoilers...) and I though the ending was quite dull but then, when I actually got to play it, I liked it! In the end, I definitely recommend it.

Blackwell Series

I've enjoyed every games in this series, and have played them several time each now, having a terrible memory really helps with the replayability of adventure games, I've found. You are a detective, haunted by a friendly ghost, helping the desceased find their final rest. Not gloomy, though there are some dark bits. Definitely recommended.

If u play games 4 escapism or 'selfcare'

I seen a few snooty reviews about this game, crying about plot holes and such... (What are you people really expecting?) Where as the game is worth a purchase, it's not exactly Lucas Arts. I enjoyed the series but had a few issues with it here and there. The first game on GOG crashed so many times it was unplayable on GOG and it left me very upset. I understand it's a smaller gaming company and I didn't want to rule out the series. I still gave it a A for effort even though I was very upset how difficult it was for me to play the first game. (My review unfortunately was less than stellar for the first game because of my inability to even play it...) The sequels were funny, enjoyable but you could always tell the budget behind these games. They are still enjoyable and manage to be charming as quaint and simple as they can be at times. What makes me rate the finale so high is that this series has some really powerful messages that it manages to suprise you with, get across...It unapologetically kills off a child and talks about mental illness...(Difficult subjects, if not done correctly can be offensive ...) The ending of Covergence, "Some people do everything they can to sabotage" their own happiness. This was so deep, profound for me. The series seems to say something about life. It's inspiring in some strange if not un-intentional sense. In one way I see it as a allergoy for mental illness. As someone who has PTSD from a crappy childhood, this series was almost therueptic for me at times... (Which I didn't expect) I could relate to the protagonist who felt tortured but was still a good person. The finale, is heart felt, the best of the series in terms of animation, story length... The ending seems to try to say something "bigger" again, hits you with something unexpected... "It's not about me, it's about everyone"... or even Joey's final moments manage to suprirse you with, " Life is worth living...." The series ended up being quite enjoyable

Great story, pity about the low-res

(Note: I bought this game at GOG but played it on an Android tablet via the Android AGS port.) The Blackwell series is a great serious adventure game story. It's an adult game, not an "adult" game. and I really appreciate all the story that went into it. This latest installment ends the series well, with a long story which goes back to tell us more about some characters we know. There were some parts of the story, especially related to the ending, which I was just a tad disappointed with, but they still provided closure to the story. As a game I found the adventure aspects pretty good. I didn't find the puzzles trivial, but I also didn't need to resort to a walkthrough often, so all in all I found them satisfying. What bothered me a little was the move back to low res. The Blackwell Deception had higher res menus and phone interface, and that was unfortunately not kept in Epiphany, meaning that I had to suffer a font designed for 320x200, something I don't in particular enjoy. Not a huge deal, but a pity.

I did not expect that

Well, I finally reached the end of the journey, whatever I can say about the game has been said before,, I really enjoyed it, I liked the ending, except that it was a bit too sudden, like in a plot device, but I'll forgive it, after all this series was great, and I don't thimnk I need to recommend it since I'll assume you played through the other entries and this is a must
