Enter the Gungeon

Enter the gungeon is original, plays very very smoothly, has good humor, amazing sound.. You need a few hours in to realize this is one of those pieces of software where Directors were clear in what they wanted and developers were inspired doint it. And of course, all had enough time to finish their job There's much positive to say which is found everywhere online. So instead I'd warn this: -This game feels unnecesarily random and demands too much patience if you want to finish it. The amount of gold you make is random, which you use to buy weapons and Items.. which are random.. which you use to kill enemies.. which are random.. you get the idea. True, the randomness has bounds but you will have succesive runs where you played equally good and the outcome is totally different just because of luck. There's also a lot in the game that requires you to.. decipher? Discover? It turns out you can read online about powerful items/synergies/etc. But I don't have the patience for that. I don't want to "study" for some goofy action game. It seems to me that you need to know that in order to beat the game I get they need to do that, so that you don't finish the roguelike game in 2 hours. But I feel they went a bit too far. In fact, I didn't finish it after 25+ hours and I stopped playing for a year.. Would I have the patience to re-learn and try again all the levels I plaid a hundred times? no :)

A game with enough content to keep you occupied for a long time. Beating the game is not enough; how you do it makes a difference. There plenty of characters, weapons, items, and secrets to prevent you from getting bored. This game is truly fun.

Love the game though I've never gotten far. Something I've noticed though is that the GOG verison seems different from the Steam one somehow. There's a few things that I noticed but the main one that actually detracts some joy from the game, for me anyways, is that the battle song that would play in nearly every room, in the steam version, doesn't seem to come on on GOG. I'll hear the start of it sometimes but then it's like it gets skipped and another track is chosen. Maybe something about this is why the game is priced cheaper, naturally, than it is on steam. Other than that it's still mad fun, and definitely worth the ~6$ on Sale.

This is easily one of the hardest rouge likes I have ever played. This game is f*cking relentless and there is no hand holding whatsoever. You finished the tutorial? Congrats. Eat sh*t. F*ck you. Go die a million times before you make any significant progress, With that said, this game has the greatest sense of accomplishment ever. That moment you finally beat that boss, you finally find that extra key, you get the one gun to change your run, there's nothing quite like it. The controls are tight and precise and satisfying to the core. Enemies are numerous and unique and all offer a challenge in each new room. I cannot recommend this absolute gem enough, challenge and all.

...if that doesn't sound like a great idea, and need more convincing, know that this game is what a called ''one of the reason why indie videogames are fantastic''. As a full blown masterpiece, Enter the gungeon offers a s***ton of guns, addictive (that's the right word for describing it) 'gun'play, all mixed in a roguelite salsa, with a plethora of items, secrets, multiple characters and endings and an arcade experience that never gets stale or boring. To be perfectly clear, this is one of the master-pillar f the indie genre and truly a testament how a simple concept can produce amazing, wonderful and... gun'ish' results! (not much of a pun, but a perfect statement nonetheless, in this case).
