Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood

I can't give this game less than 5, maybe 4.9 if that was possible but why at the end. The first game was good but this one is even better. The story is more fleshed out and coherent. The artstyle is amazing. The graphics have improved. The depth and breadth of the puzzles have improved. The hidden object mechanic is expanded upon. For what this games sets out to be I can confidently say it's brilliant. I only hope the third is just as good and a satisfying conclusion because the first and this one set up everything quite smoothly. My only wish for this game and I guess for the series so far is to have had harder puzzles. This, however, is really not taking away anything from the game, it's just something that I personally would like and I'm not judging the quality of the game with it. If you want an adventure/puzzle/mystery/hidden object game with amazing artstyle and a decent story, this game is it. I loved it for all those reasons.

Each installment of the series is a standalone game with a complete story. That said, if you want to see the full story, you'll need the 3 games of the series. The game is (are) very good. They all contains most if not all of the regular features for that type of game. They are all the "collector edition" so they have a bonus chapter after completing the main game. Recommended.

Excellent sequel to a bit boring Enigmatis 1 ! Unlike it predecessor, the game had better story line, better graphics and much better puzzles (not only hidden objects). Very enjoyable game indeed. Looking forward to No. 3.

I recently played the first game of this series and praised it as it actually was FULL of hidden object puzzles. This game has taken a step backwards. I beat the game as I am absoluelty bored during COVID-19, but this game makes me not want to play the third. There are probably 1/4th of the hidden object puzzles/screens compared to the first game. It is a good point and click adventure if you want a small amount of hidden object puzzles mixed with regular puzzles. I played this game on expert and it was still painfully easy. Only problem you will run into is sometimes you have to backtrack and the game doesn't really give you a hint as to where. Like a hidden object area you will solve, then 20 minutes later the game wants you to click that area again and do another hidden object solving, but you have no indication that you should backtrack.
