Description
EMPTY SHELL will throw you in a dark industrial environment, a secret facility on a Japanese island in the middle of nowhere. Each volunteer has signed a contract for a "recovery operation" without being privy to too many details. 



They said the facility had been abandoned for decades, but once in place it was immediately apparent that something was wrong. 
Discover the dark secrets of the facility's years of operation, up until the accident that led to the extreme consequences you are involved in. 

Every time you die, you will control a new volunteer sent to the place. Your starting equipment will be randomized and each level will be generated with a new layout. 

 


Dark corridors and cold rooms. Abominable creatures and bloody fights. Puzzles to solve, equipment, logs and documents to recover await you in this roguelite survival horror.

This is a great game, but not for all

This game is not for everyone. Although with headphones in, there's an eerie atmosphere and intense gaemplay when massive spider-like creative run at you.

More addictive than expected

Played through on easy in ~14 hours. Was still difficult enough for me. :)

4/5 good game, athmospheric

It is kind of a rougelike, basically your "volounteer" has only 1 life, as you progress in game you buy upgrades for your character, but they are "potentially" lost upon death. After a certain point, dying will make your life very difficult. Do not expect A whole damn lot but it is a fairly fun top down shooter, I played on normal so i can not speak for other difficultyes but It starts off as a survival horror (resource management , health ,inventory ammo, cash) and ends up being quite the tense horde shooter due to loosing upgrades upon death , a fiew extra challanges like dodging laser rooms and the quite calming computer interface minigame makes it have its own identity. It is not as deep as I would personally like But not far from it. if you got the money to spare its worth your time and cash.
