Good Game Thus Far

I'm not experiencing any performance problems, although I have to disclose that I don't have a little number somewhere on the screen that I obsess over. Just playing is fine, no input lag or stuttering, all good. FoV is too small out of the gate, but easily enlarged in the config file after which you just set it to read-only. Looks real fine at 110. The facial construction is a bit wierd, but once you put your shades on you look pretty good! I don't like being cast as a deadbeat dad or the snippy reparte between self and former lover, pretty lame. Same with having to drag a "magic kid" around. The severe uptick in f-bombs isn't helping either. But I guess PB has elected to dumb down to Bethesda levels to grab some of that market. Probably inevitable, but really breaks my heart. Melee combat works a lot better, no getting beat to death ten times by the first bird you encounter as in the first game. Much more forgiving, and you aren't forced into ranged first thing. I'll update as I go, just a few hours in at the moment. Overall solid good thus far.

a good piranha bytes game

pros + combat feels smoother than elex 1 + 3 main fractions and 2 sub fractions with nested quest lines + way better attribute and skill progression than elex 1 + huge world that is fun to explore + piranha bytes formula cons - lighting sometimes does terrible things to the character models, especially their eyes can get creepy - graphic bugs (textures sometimes disappear; but I'm playing on linux with wine - so maybe thats the cause of that)

Underrated

I freaking love this game like many have said it improves on the original and sad to say we will never get elix3 because piranobites has been shuttered rest in peace but from a very talented studio please support them even though it's too late

Few steps forward, few steps back

Good thing that it”s not another attempt to do Gothic. It is a good follow up for first Elex. Fighting system is not so annoying as in Elex but could be little bit interesting. Keep looking for good formula. Plot is good in general but bad in details with wholes and unlogical things. Beautiful world interesting to be explored for the first time but totaly boring starting from chapter 2.

crashy crashy

crashy crashy, five dolla ... FIFTY? I was looking forward to Elex II after Elex, no, really. I liked the world building, stories, factions, and even the quirks were feeling OK to me. Reusing the world map - well, that's kind of cheap, but it also can provide an interesting take: revisit all the locations and see what's changed, what's developed... so, my expectations were about story, characters, lore. I didn't need much technical improvements, but I would've of course welcomed them; the list of possible improvements was pretty long. Again: I even would've accepted the same engine with new content. But what I got is a game so unstable it is unplayable. And it's now 10 Months after initial release, during which they could've fixed it. Kind of sad. Crashy Crashy, but this disappointment costs not 5, but still 50! So, unless they get it fixed - or unless you can get it for 5 - spend your time and money on something else.
