ELDERBORN is a Metal Action Fantasy Slasher with brütal FPP melee combat and souls-like/RPG character progression. In the times of legend, the barbarian tribes need a new dark messiah. Brutal!

I found the combat frustrating in the beginning but after the first hour I got really into to the game once it finally "clicked with me". Considering the price tag and budget of the game I found it very impressive, but audio-visually I found it lacking. Also final level felt very rushed compared to the great other levels. Overall a solid game with incredible combat and a fair price tag. Eager to see what Hyperstrange will make next!

Solid stuff

Solid combat and exploration. Really like how checkpoints and health items function, not requiring to respawn enemies all the time to regain charges. Has a nice level of grunge to the atmosphere in a good way regarding visuals and sound design.

Good meleePS, Good time

You get to hit people with a big hammer. Music is awesome for the setting, and the setting it as metal and based as it could get as you head into some old city to show you are that guy. There is story and lore if people are interested in, but you can focus on teh combat in general which hasn't let me down or feel unfair as I play through it on the intended difficulty. Highly recoomended if you want to take an oath to abstain from guns for a bit and hit thing up close in first person. 10/10 casual badassary

Elderborn short review

It's a fun game. The mechanics are simple but gold. The feel of every weapon sling is great, and quite easy to learn. However, if the story and the pacing would be more polished, it should be a great game.
