Game is unplayable, Why are the controlls so bad? Way to crush my excitmetn, how do we ask for a refund in GOG?

This game has not aged well. I bought it out of pure nostalgia because I recall renting it at the local library and playing it on our first familiy computer, but never getting very far. Turns out, it wasn't me back then, but the game really is not that fun. The artstyle is weird enough for my taste, but it does not redeem the spongy controls, unpredictable hitboxes and enemies out of nowhere. If you are looking to relive 90's sidecrolling platformers, then look no further than Rayman Forever, Disney's Hercules, and the first two Oddworld-games. Yooka-Laylee 2 is a notable modern reiteration of the same concepts available on GOG.

It is the 90s. Klax has completely fallen off the face of the earth. And there is time for Mascot Platformers. Pros: ‣ As was the style at the time, there's a lot of visual variety in all that you do and see. ‣ Tommy Tallarico isn't involved. Cons: ‣ Everything else. ‣ Epitome of "zany 90s humor", meaning things will occur without causation or punchline. ‣ Low impact gunplay makes it hard to tell if you're actually doing anything. ‣ Literally every level is a maze. A vacuous expanse where telling where to go is obscured. ‣ Mandatory side activities on the critical path. Want to play a game where you juggle puppies? Too bad, you have to; and if you fail, you do it again. ‣ Music consists of that awful trend of the time, trying to please multiple platforms and hitting 0 targets of musicality. Most of it is weird beeping with no melody. ‣ All the bosses are bullet sponges before such a thing was a term. ‣ Lots of people are blindly fond for it because it was competent compared to the myriad array of even worse Amiga games. ‣ Doug TenNepal is one of the worst people in all of gaming as a person, and that's saying a lot.
