Description
Take the completely 3-dimensional landscape into account while planning your troop movements: you'll need to scale towering mountains, dig out protective bulwarks and create entire tunnel systems. Explosions and detonations can change entire regions in an instant.

Earth 2150: The 21st century was supposed to herald the dawn of a new age. The wars, famines and suffering of the last 20 millennia were to become a distant, fading memory, as scientific advances brought global peace and prosperity. The anticipated global conflict broke out with a violence that shook the planet to its core.

“The Moon Project” is one of the blackest chapters in the history of mankind. While the Lunar Corporation, the Eurasian Dynasty and the United Civilized States are preparing themselves for the last all-encompassing battle, work is being feverishly carried out on a secret project on the Moon.

“Lost Souls” sees the end of our beloved planet Earth. Devastating wars between the Eurasian Dynasty and the United Civilized States have wreaked havoc and caused mortal wounds to our planet, glaciers melted, the sea rose to a threatening level, and meteorite showers buried whole parts of the world. The only hope left for the population was the escape to the red planet Mars.
  • The Trilogy includes the original Earth 2150 campaign along with both expansions: The Moon Project and Lost Souls
  • A great mix of 4X and classic RTS elements
  • An innovative in-game unit creator that lets the player to research and build his own vehicles

Thanks a lot fanboys!

Yeah, thanks fanboys for your over exaggerated, over optimistic reviews of this thoroughly mediocre game! I bought it expecting an amazing "Total Annihilation" quality game, and in 3D! What I got is a tame, slow, buggy and dull "yet another weak RTS" game, with few units. Graphics VERY below par for 2001, games like "Wargasm" and "Battlezone" had better GFX even though they date from 1997/98! A poor variety of boring, conservative units and weapons. Terrible AI and pathfinding for YOUR units, devastatingly effective AI/pathfinding for the enemy though, AI also cheats. RIDICULOUSLY unfair mission difficulty. Clunky controls. The only thing worse than this is Earth 2140! A KKND2 debacle that even manages to be WORSE than KKND2! Earth 2160 had better be an improvement. I bought all 3 of these turkeys, Still to try E2160 out however.

Fantastic game - flawed GOG product

This is perhaps the greatest RTS ever made. However, the copy I received from GOG was corrupted somehow since no matter what I did, I could not get the soundtrack to work in the game. It's not even worth playing without the great music, so if you buy, be wary. I usually am a big supporter of GOG, but after this I'm not so sure...

Why?

Why, oh why, do the designers insist of having to make these games so damn awkward? I thought I was an RTS fan, but clearly I've been spoilt, as I've obviously been lucky enough to pick up the better games right from the start, and avoid the dross, where whatever clever ideas the designers have are ruined by the simple fact that the games are so damn awkward to play. What ever happened to simple interfaces and simple gameplay? Now you need a neural interface just to get past the fast few missions - because I'm pretty sure I spent more time fighting the interface than I did with the enemies. At least this time the AI works properly - it's just a shame that doesn't matter when the game itself can't seem to tell between cancelling a selection, shifting the minimap, and a move order, and your construction units spend more time wandering across the map than they do building things simply because you need the power of electrokinisis yourself to get the game to work properly. I wonder if they've fixed all this in time for the THIRD installment?

Upset.

IM upset with GOG. The last two games i have bought resulted in crashes and frenetic searching for solves. Feels like they are taking my money.
