Extremely high level of customization, It manages to convey a sense of urgency to all of your missions. Where decisions you make have an effect later on in the games. Not only does it have weather and day/night cycles but they actually matter. During a night attack you can turn off your units' lights and surprise the enemy. The graphics have aged very well too. What's not to like?

If you are looking for a relaxed, casually slow gameplay experience, this game will absolutely ravish you and steal some cab money from you when it is done. Despite the tedious alien gameplay in 2160, this game is the most tedious one. There is a ton to do and the game gives zero hints about how to do them right. This is also the first game where the unit management became sluggish and irresponsive to the quick movement orders, effectively killing the point of skillful unit management. Overall, the graphics are okay, the battle music will haunt your nightmares and the whole game feels like a gainless grind. Playing through the Moon Project LC campaign was one of the most pointless playing experiences ever and the experience of the other two iterations is not any better. Get 2140 instead if you want to have fun or 2160 if you care about the plot or interesting campaign content. This game is ideal practice for South Korean pro players. The fun factor 1/10. Try some demo first.

Neither setting the resolution to 800x600 nor 1024x786 nor disabling DEP worked. The resolution 1280x1024 doesn't work either, nor do any other settings. The game crashes as soon as you start a battle or the campaign. Unfortunately, I can't manually change the resolution in the config.ini file on the GOG version because this file doesn't exist.

Excellent game - remember from 'first time around'. Problem is it's crashing on opening the construction centre, either through F1 or the tank icon. Any advice? 4 star rating onhow good I know it is...

The game was brilliant and will remain as that. But the version from gog.com is unplayable. Every try to access the "construction center"-menu results in a crash. This menu is the only way to upgrade and modify your units and without that your chance for wining are below 1%. Nobody should buy this without a propper fix from gog.
