Earth 2140 Trilogy

Years ago I played Earth 2140 with only missionpack 1. And many friends from me also did. But when Windows Xp appears and I got a new soundcard I could not play it anymore on my pc, so I when I would play it I took an old pc with Windows 98 on it and with a soundcard which was compatible and so my friends did. Many times we have played this game and so I was pleased to hear that GOG was making old games compatible with newer pc's and with Windows Vista and XP. Pity that they said that it is not multiplay and that it is never implemented. I do not agree with that, because with my original old Earth 2140 and also with missionpack 1 I could play multiplay and did that many times. So I hope that GOG will implement that in future. But overall I am pleased that I could play Earth 2140 on my new XP computer, even if it is soloplay. And therefore I give 4 stars. With multiplay I had given 5 stars.

I really would like to thank GOG.com team for this game. I´m owner original CD but I couldn´t start instalation even trough DOSBox. I was able to play via DOS Box only "trimmed" versions downloaded from Internet . I gave up and sacrificed. Few weeks ago I red article about project GOG.com, I hold breath and EARTH was here! :-D And now? I´m gaming like in the good old times - almost 13 years old game on my 64bit 3,04GHz processor and 64bit OS, that is really amazing. Anyway - I know that there are better RTSs (playability, interface, maybe story for somebody) but Earth, especially 2140 was the right for me (as for fan of Terminator movies, near future, rivality between east and west). So once again - Thank you so much!

I was very excited to find this game on GOG. I've been looking for it ever since I lost my CD eleven years ago... So I found it here bought it and installed, but I'm very sad to find it is not multiplayer (Which it says in the description, I just missed it.) Does anyone know how to make it multiplayer?

Usually I am a sucker for such games, I really like these old RTS games, such as CnC. This game delivers a pretty unique gameplay and very nice graphics. The missions are quite simply but it's really fun. Base building takes some time to get used to it. The buildings are pretty huge compared to the units, which is quite realistic. Battles look pretty awesome for such an old game, it's pretty simple to gather a big army and battle each other. It doesn't take a lot of time. Therefore huge battles are assured. I recommend it.

it has alot of C&C qualities about it, but it is a game in itself, even though C&C was better, this is still alot of fun. though the briefings are kinda boring, but other than that it was good. it has a good price for it too, thanks gog.. im currently out of state right now, but when i get home i will order the second "earth 2150 trilogy" then after i beat it ill get the earth 2160 game. keep the kick ass games coming.
