A great nostalgic trip back.
The game is mostly the same game as before, but the new controller scheme and UI associated with it makes for a nice new way to play. If Aspyr does some bug passes this will be the gold standard for this game. As is, it is very good.

It was so buggy when it first came out, it's always irked me that I couldn't finish it. So far this has been stable and runs well.

fun with added controller support
I have the original on here, and it's a good game. this one is nice as it doesn't take any hoops to get running (though the patch for the original made things much easier). I decided to try it out on the added controller support, and found that to be a really fun way to revisit this game. There was mention that there was no offline installer available for this game, but I did not find that to be true. I do have access to an offline installer for this game from the best i can tell. based on my testing. Is it night and day different than the original.. no... but it has some added improvements that are certainly welcome. I saw a review on here that got made about all the banners at the beginning which i will say is true. that didn't bother me.. If they weren't skippable then that'd be annoying, but I just press esc, and move on. I think they changed enough to make it enjoyable for me, but it's largely the same as the original. It's nice to play on a handheld, and on the tv with a controller, and that (to me) makes it's a lot of fun to revisit. If you already own the original.. it's probably hard to recommend unless you're looking for a nice way to play on the go, or on the sofa. being that I owned the original I thought it was cool that there was a big discount that you could get on this version. I'm glad i picked it up.

Great D&D game to play co-op!
As long as my character doesn't disappear (it did once but reappeared!) I will hold on to a positive review! Lots of theorycrafting for this game, graphics/gameplay feel a lot smoother than other older D&D games, including NWN1.

Still a Great Story
I respect what was done to make the Enhanced Edition. It tends to have slow combat,and slow responses. I played the original and its the same,not much improvement on the performance.If you have NEVER played this game then YES get this as it IS better than the original.But if you have already played,then I would say its a slight nostalgia upgrade. Still fun due to the characters and the story.Don't expect a modern bloodfest,cause it wasn't made for that. As in most of DnD its story driven for the EXPERIENCE,and it delievers that well.
