Game got worse after patch 1
Patch 1 removed keybinding for "Drive mode Left" and "Drive mode right" making the game totally unplayable in Character mode.

Game good, UI scales, bugs unfixed
On the positive side, Storm of Zehir, even with its faults, still has some of that old time charm of Pool of Radiance / early Bioware style exploratory gameplay. And the original campaign and Mask of the Betrayer are definitely worth playing through once. Also, the UI scaling works now. However, on the negative side, there are lots of things that have not been fixed. Weird non-reproducible functionality bugs, even a couple of crashes. Default settings for mouse (hyper)speed when moving the camera angle are as bad as ever, wish something was done about them. PSA: If the frame rate starts stuttering all of a sudden, try rebooting. There is a known performance issue in NWN2 after your PC had been up for several days, and it still exists in the EE. There was a workaround mod (NWN2 client extender), but I think for EE the only option is to reboot whenever starting to play the game? Note: no promises. This only fixes one potential performance problem, there may be others. On the gameplay side, be aware that computerizing D&D 3.5, the ruleset that NWN2 relatively faithfully implements, makes even more for an optimization puzzle than D&D 3 did... anyway, you may end up spending way more time planning your "builds" than playing the game.

Early stage, too buggy
For now, I cannot recommend this game over the complete edition The new one maybe has returned the multiplayer, but that's it. It occupies the same save space as the complete edition, which should not... In the EE, the camera moves way too fast with keyboard, sometimes tooltip are not readable unless you have a controller with the R joystick, the additional horizontal bar is not correctly implemented... I cannot change keybinds... Right now, if I want to use it, I have to play with mouse/keyboard and controller. It seems that they have optimized the experience for controller, but it lacks in Q&A. I give it 3 stars because the campaign of the game and the first DLC are really good

Barely enhanced, but a comfy way to play
The gamepad controls and ui are pretty good. It runs at 2k 120fps without raising my GPU temp. I don't have to mess with the awkward original UI, but I can seamlessly if I feel like it. I've been meaning to play through this game for years but kept bouncing off it. This time I'm having a real good time with it.
