Description

A few hundred condemned criminals were being shipped to the Auriga system on board the prison hulk “Success”. While this was presented as a chance to earn back their place in society by working hard for the common good, they understood that in fact they would be slave labour, sent to colonize an unexplored planet. All they knew about Auriga Prime was what the probes told them: it had water, temperate zones, plant life, and plenty of metals in the crust.

In fact, the planet Auriga once hosted a major settlement of the galaxy-travelling ancestors known as the Endless. In addition, the planet was still orbited by a functioning (and well cloaked) defensive system, which sprang eagerly to life upon the arrival of the Success. Within a few minutes, the ship was nothing but a few large chunks of metal falling toward the planet.

Every set of holding cells also functioned as an escape pod, so the ship let itself disintegrate and the surviving prisoners fell bruised but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe to the planet below. Safe, that is, until they realized that they had crashed through some sort of facility of the Endless, down to a sub-basement so deep and ancient it might as well be called a dungeon…

Gather A Team.

  • Form a team of heroes, each with their own strengths (and psychoses)
  • Equip them, deploy them, and earn powerful abilities
  • Manage the balance between ex-prison inmates and guards
  • Experience four player coop and watch your back

Build Your Defenses.

  • Use the Dust you gather to power the rooms
  • Use scarce resources to help your team survive
  • Build minor and major modules to hold off waves of monsters
  • Decode Endless ruins to discover life-saving technologies

Open the Door.

  • Each door is a danger; prepare yourself and your team for anything
  • Explore and discover an infinity of levels and layouts
  • Carry your crystal through waves of monsters to the exit of each level
  • Fight your way to the surface to discover the truth about Auriga

With monsters at your heels and a merry band of misfits for a team, get ready for a bumpy ride with the Definitive Edition which, along with the base game, includes:

Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ - Deep Freeze

The “Refreezerator” spaceship will let you experience the game in a different way as well as introduce a new teammate: Kreyang. Don’t touch anything related to Drakken history in her presence… you might lose a hand.

Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ - Rescue Team

You’ve crashed somewhere in an uncharted part of the galaxy? No one is responding to your cries for help? Fear not, the Rescue Team is on its way! For drill sergeant Sasha, operator Zugma and… Audio engineer Wes, failure is not an option.

Good game but bugged version

The game if fun in itself, I would recommend it. I own it on steam too, but my GOG version has a bug : monsters don't drop dust. I can manage to win the game nonetheless, but it makes the game harder than it is already.

Still unfixed, don't buy

I always wanted to buy this on GoG as well, as I already own it on Steam, but the GoG version seems to have two big issues, that have not been adressed by Gog and Amplitude. On Steam, the game uses the Steam MP to play with up to four others. It is not stated in the store page if the game uses Galaxy or if a direct IP connection was added or if Crossplay is a thing. For a game that is much more fun in multiplayer that has to be clear. And secondly, even reviews from this month still mention that monsters don't drop dust. That is a core mechanic and needs to be fixed. As long as this is not fixed it shouldn't be listed. The steam version doesn't have this bug, so it's about time Amplitude takes some responsibility. Don't bother if GoG and Amplitude doesn't. Get it on Steam. I love GoG, really, but this is unacceptable. Check your games, react to these bugs, delist titles that don't work. This is a core mechanic, is HAS to work. I don't care who is at fault here. The title doesn't work as intended and should not be listed.

slow to start, but fun to play

you will lose almost immediately the first time you play without any experience, and then you'll stop losing so quick and then lose catastrophically when you least expect it, then you'll lose because of thinking you got it this time, then you'll finally win....and that's just on too easy 40 hours later. runs can take upwards of 8 hours the first time you actually have it, then sooner you can clear it in less than maybe 4 hours if you rush. lots of tactics to discover and tricks to apply. most things work exactly as expected when you think it'll work as it says. don't play with controller, the UI changes for KBM and controller and the KBM UI is way better and easy to use

A superb strategy roguelike

I own and played this title on another platform but I consider this experience still worthwhile for this one. I simply loved this game ever since I first played it. Featuring a diverse cast of characters you'll be hard pressed to go from floor to floor in order to find a way to the surface and to safety. Combining real time and turn based strategy, dungeon crawling, tower defense and RPG elements, no two playthrough will be the same. It is a hard game however, the odds are not in your favor and even when clearing a floor, don't expect to be safe on the elevator in between floors because events could occur where you may straight up lose a character. You will lose characters, you will lose a whole playthrough but you will have learned from these losses and you'll come back stronger and go further. Sometime you won't go further because of something went horribly wrong but again it's part of the experience. My only real issue with the game is that while all characters are different (equip, passive and active abilities) they are all the same in some ways because there is a limited pool of abilities.
