Dungeon Keeper™ 2

There are lots of reviews here that complain of the game not working or crashing in newer operating systems. Awhile ago GoG released a patch that fixed this. There are still a few tricks required to get the game running smoothly (Compatibility mode, run as administrator, ect..) but I've been playing the game for about 20 hours now and it works great. Also, I am running this game on Windows 8 x64 Professional. I have an AMD HD 6780. Finally - the game. It's still a ton of fun and absolutely worth the low price here (currently just a bit more than a tall cup of coffee).

Sadly this port also doesn't work on Windows 8 at this time. It runs but is unplayable, with about 1 fps. And even then I still experience slowdowns with 3-4 seconds without a frame at all. Sad port, get going GoG, I know you can do better!

As with other reviewers the game crashed on me while running it on WIndows 7. I noticed they put out an update and downloaded it, I've played for a few hours and haven't had any problems.

I've had no crash problems on Windows 7. I did with a version on cd I bought last year, but this one is smooth and crash free. The issues with the store bought version (Soldout I think?) were video playback not working and game crashes in large dungeons. Neither problem has occurred for me with the GoG version. Anyway, awesome game, highly recommended.

I loved Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 so much! Just wanted to say it works 100 % correct on Windows 7!
