Dungeon Keeper™ 2

This review pertains to Windows XP. This release has the same problems as the original. Frequent crashes, stuttering sound, getting laggy as gameplay progresses, intermittent freezing, etc. You can somewhat reduce crashes by starting the game from the command line with the -nosound option. In short: Same as before. DK2 is still a fantastic game IF and WHEN it works!

I'm on win7 64bit and the game runs perfectly fine. I haven't had any trouble with it and it's still fun to play in all its glorious pixelated splendor!

The game is great and is fully functional. I have never had any crashes. I have played about 30h now. I often play with friends and they haven't had any problems thereselves yet. We are all using Windows7 or Windows 8

The game is one of the greats, little else can be said. The review from 2011 stating that it's a great game and horrible port may have been true at that time, but no longer. You won't be getting modern resolutions but you'll be able to play this gem just fine - and it'll look great for what it is and when it was made. For reference, I'm using Windows 8.1; no compatibility issues whatsoever. Framerate is stable and smooth, game runs wonderfully. Enjoy it. DK2 should be played.

I wish I could play the game. I get a black screen immediately but I can hear the background music. Running Windows 7 on PC.
