Great game! Encountered a bug recently.
After changing GPU, Dungeon Keeper now launches with music but with a white screen.

Being the Dungeon Keeper and all, this is your home, too. And it’s your business to take these loathsome creatures of darkness and hone them into screaming, frothing, clawing forces of destruction. Lure them in with food and the promise of dank and fetid places to sleep. Keep them in line with the back of your hand and the threat of dire consequences. Pit their scaly hides against the best that the Forces of Good can muster, and they’ll die for you as they rip steaming entrails out of the hapless heroes.
It’s a degenerate and nasty job…and you love it. Yes, home is where your heart is. In a box. Packed in salt. That's right — Dungeon Keeper, Bullfrog's classic dungeon management strategy, gives you no extra credit for having any morals. After all, the underworld isn't black and white!

As good as I remember!
I have nothing but praise for this double header of demonic delights, I loved both DK and DD as a kid, and I still love them as an adult, they run beautifully and the resolution is fantastic once you've stuck it in hi-res. DK was a triumph during Bullfrog's heyday, the difficulty builds gradually as you go through the game, and even as an adult I am still challenged by it as much as I was when I was a kid. Cannot recommend this title enough!

fav game
After trying my old original version with dosbox and finding my external disk drive beein broken I gave up and purchased this gold version. I am really tempted to play the deeper dungeons addon. Never did before. My old version must have been a pretty early version. The ai of opposing keepers often seemed to be broken. They didnt start, sometimes they did start but stopped in the middle of the level growing further, or they acted kind of stupid and slow. I am really glad having purchased this version. Somehow not only the ai of the enemy keepers works fine, it even seems beeing impressingly improved compared to the first/original version. Really really glad. I played the levels a thousand times, but those seemingly more aggressive enemy keepers gives the whole game this time a new aspect for me.

Only strategy game I acttually like!
This is pretty much the best strategy game I've ever played! despite being a dos game I would put it far above xcom or any other strategy game I came across, in this game you get to build up your lair, get rich, build an army and Destroy the heroes! The gameplay involves optional fps elements, building, commanding and upgrading armies, building an ultamite lair and exploring.

The Good, the Evil and the Ugly
An excellent inversion of what used to be the only available fantasy game trope. Being the Keeper of your evil dungeon, ordering around various strange minions is still as fun as I remeber. Would have given perfect score, but, unfourtunately the higher res setting can sometimes lag when a lot of things are happening and you have manually adjust the framerate with the ctrl + F11 or F12 shortcut, which is weird because if you increase the framerate too much, the game runs too fast. It's a shame, but still the game is perfectly playable, with slight hiccups here and there. Overall a lovely trip down memory lane, but if you are looking for quality rather than nostalgia I would recommend the sequel more. On a side note, to my great surprise and delight this version has the absolutely wonderful (and nostalgia inducing) polish dubbing, for some reason not stated in the languages section on the store page
