Great game. Still holds up over all of these years. Definitely worth the purchase.

Being the Dungeon Keeper and all, this is your home, too. And it’s your business to take these loathsome creatures of darkness and hone them into screaming, frothing, clawing forces of destruction. Lure them in with food and the promise of dank and fetid places to sleep. Keep them in line with the back of your hand and the threat of dire consequences. Pit their scaly hides against the best that the Forces of Good can muster, and they’ll die for you as they rip steaming entrails out of the hapless heroes.
It’s a degenerate and nasty job…and you love it. Yes, home is where your heart is. In a box. Packed in salt. That's right — Dungeon Keeper, Bullfrog's classic dungeon management strategy, gives you no extra credit for having any morals. After all, the underworld isn't black and white!

Phenomenal game - buy it so we get more!
I agree that this is not the best release of the game ever, but for just $5.99 you can support a game that you love, play it again legally, and then maybe some day we'll get more of it :) I actually replayed it just before the GOG release and it was just as good now as it was back then. A deeply immersive game that will have you hooked. I don't even like isometric strategy games generally, but Bullfrog always knocked it out of the park.

Being bad never felt so good :-)
Dungeon Keeper is one of the EA Classic on GoG, and it's is an awesome game. Not graphic wise but it's just so much fun to play the bad guy for once. If you like Dungeon Keeper you should really check out Evil Genius on GoG too.

An exceptional game
This game is a must buy, if it is the Windows version. The DOS version even with the patch had broken enemy keeper AI.

Horned Reaper is Horny!
Graphics: 7 The graphics are semi-3D, with some things 3D and some things 2D, kindof like Doom. They take some getting used to since the graphics look extremely antiquated. Also the game tends to become hideously confusing in large battles. Controls: 9 The controls are really simple and quite fitting for a strategy game. Often there is a bit of lacking precision regarding picking things up since the map is divided in tiles and you pick up any random thing on the targeted tile. Story: 5 You are a Dungeon Keeper and you go destroy everything so you can rule the world. Gameplay: 10 The gameplay is a mix between simple and complex. You have to dig out rooms and collect gold so you can build living quarters and a foodsource for your minions, which come out of a portal that has to be claimed in order for them to move into your dungeon. You also need to pay a periodical salary for your minions, build training rooms (so they can level up after some training sessions), pay for training and in the end, you destroy your opponent's dungeon heart, whilst protecting your own and move onto the next stage. You also have spells at your disposal, which you can use to help your minions, control them or fry your enemy's. Summary: 9 This game's great! Its sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2 (duh) replaces all the harsh charm with more obvious pop culture references and is simply not up to par in my most humble opinion.
