Being the Dungeon Keeper and all, this is your home, too. And it’s your business to take these loathsome creatures of darkness and hone them into screaming, frothing, clawing forces of destruction. Lure them in with food and the promise of dank and fetid places to sleep. Keep them in line with the back of your hand and the threat of dire consequences. Pit their scaly hides against the best that the Forces of Good can muster, and they’ll die for you as they rip steaming entrails out of the hapless heroes.
It’s a degenerate and nasty job…and you love it. Yes, home is where your heart is. In a box. Packed in salt. That's right — Dungeon Keeper, Bullfrog's classic dungeon management strategy, gives you no extra credit for having any morals. After all, the underworld isn't black and white!

Just one of the best games ever
I might be biased: I played it when I was younger... Just great to build and secure your little dungeon, manage your economy by digging gold or building traps, then sneak into your opponent's dungeon and strike... And with keeperfx, you can use it on your shiny new ultra hd display, and still be more stable that dungeon keeper 2...

It's goot to be bad!
This one is a bit of a morbid one, but I streamed this on the anniversary of my late bf: Stream: https://youtu.be/EWnP1JLir-o and just wanted to play a game that he would've liked whilst also drinking some alcohol. Anyway, the game itself. I'd only ever played Dungeon Keeper 2 in the past, which still stands up to this day and so this stream was also an experiment to actually try out the original which I had in my library for so many years, but had no excuse to actually play it! All the similar features are in this first one, of course, but one thing that I loved this above the previous is that there's more variety of minions and more monstrous versions too, including tentacles for having water tiles on your dungeon and giant beetles, ect. Something I felt was missing from the sequel as most of them were humanoid apart from one or two creatures. The story is to fight against the forces of good and expand your influence throughout the underground, whilst also guarding your dungeon heart from any attacks and gaining the spell to summon Honey, the devil on the display of both games. That said, it's a bit of a gambit when you use him in the original game as if he doesn't like your dungeon layout he's as likely to attack you as any invaders, but the trade off is that he's extremely powerful and mows through enemies with his scythe as if they were nothing! The first game to birth the genre of playing the bad guy and running your own dungeon to fight against heroes and despite it's age, it's still a solid game to play and due to updates from GOG, you can beef up the resolution which makes it far easier on the eyes as I found out mid-stream.
