part of history, not present

The game is horrible, I never played it at the time of creation so I have no attachment to it whatsoever; the controls are insanely bad, the game is so fast and illogical that you only watch out for which button to press instead of the animations, so even that is not there for enjoyment. It's just plain bad, I feel angry for the decision to pay for it, especially the amount gog asks. AAArghhdamnit.

A great experience

Look these are not the "best video games", but when they came out they were cool as hell. They had this huge ass arcade machine, and more importantly they cost a dollar per play! In the 80s! Don Bluth movies were big at the time and seeing this animation in an arcade machine that suggested it was a video game was a cool concept. I'd even go so far as to say Dragon's Lair 2 (for some reason it's the one least talked about), goes completely insane and is a must see from start to finish. I still have all three of these on a DVD they put out on windows in the 90s (that doesn't work right on modern computers), but I also buy these whenever they show up on various platforms. It's worth it even to just see the videos. The first Dragon's Lair is pretty standard, but again Space Ace and Dragon's Lair 2 are completely insane. Always worth full price in my opinion.

Epic old school quick time event game

If you’ve given this game less than a 5star rating you’ve either been born way after its release or not a fan of quick time events. Either way your obviously clueless about games. It’s the grandfather of its genre. Plays very well still. Bargain at getting three titles in the bundle. 1st game was the best in the series. I do believe there’s a DL3 for pc. Great artwork from Don Bluth. Can’t recommend this gem enough. But yeah probably too hard for millennials. Dirk the daring lives on.

It's a Twitch fest"

I bought this game when it was first released--for the Amiga, many years ago. I'll sum it up this way: it is first of all an animated cartoon, and it is a "twitch fest"--which is my favorite word for "joysticking & button pushing & reflexes." Lots of scenes depend upon you clicking the buttons fast enough and at the right split-second, correct number of times, etc. The "story" *cough* is clearly secondary to the arcade, twitch-fest, reflex-oriented button pusher nature of the game...;) Whew. If you like the type of game I have just described then you will love this game--don't let my two stars dissuade you in that case! It was very cool when released--just not my kind of game.

Chaotic mess

What a chaotic mess this bizarre game is... I have absolutely no clue what the game expects from me. Scene after scene plays, when I die a new scene begins, without any logical coherence. It plays so fast that I die again and again. There seems to be not the slightest sense in this game. Sure, the cartoons are on a high artistical level, but they are meaningless if they are used for such an utterly nonsensical gameplay. I refunded this heap of trash.
