Good game,but...
Rating would be higher, but, the important part of this game, pawn mechanic is bugged as hell and GoG never cared to fix it. If you want the full experience go get the game on Steam and buy never, i really mean never buy a game from GoG that has important online features.

Quite good.
It feels a bit like Elden Ring, although not that hard and with a lot of randomness. Seirously, you will spent as about much time reloading/"godsbaning" in front of chests or trtying out the sequence of identifying (purifying) gear to get what you want and need as actually playing the game. Endgame gear even has random enchantments and the pawns (your "AI" companions) are pretty dumb. Climbing monsters and mixing classes (vocations) is great though. The story is okay, but that seems to be some Japanese Souls-like cryptic thing going on here, which i personally do not fancy. Being able to confront strong enemies from the beginning is something I do.

Great game
World is not enormous, characters are silly. Journal is mediocre at most, playing as mage is not as good as other professions. Not all features are well exmplained, also having in mind pawn rental issues (sad but it is not essential feature) and that keyboard and mouse are not as good as console controller (which allegedly can be used) this game is great! I've spent almost 120h in Xbox version and 5 in PC and enjoyed all of it. Played is back to back with Diablo 4 and this DD plays in another league. Rich combat, great enemy and world design makes it very repeatable. Worth your money.

Buy it on Sale. Hope for a Sequel.
Dragon's Dogma is not perfect. The difficulty scales erratically. It is easy to lose track of items in storage. The stat system is a min-maxer's nightmare. Miscelleanous quests can be canceled without reasonable warning because of your progress in the main story. There is only one save file, so you can't juggle different characters, unless you attempt to make a backup copy. The storytelling is enjoyable--if you come in with low expectations. The game's goofy, unintuitive relationship system makes it possible to accidentally bond with the the wrong person. And yet I would buy a sequel first day. Dragon's Dogma is rad. If Dark Souls is about rendering fantasy combat as a grim chess match, this is about making the player feel like a medieval superhero. Want to scale a cyclops and stab him in the eye? Want to annhilate foes with tornados? Want to wield a massive sword like Guts from Berserk, sprint up on a pack of goblins, and wipe them out in one blow? Boy, you better believe one of the appearence pre-sets for men is literally just Guts from Berserk. I cannot emphasize enough: The developers nailed this combat system. It's fluid, fun, and allows for so many interesting builds. Dragon's Dogma won't be for everyone. Multiple aspects--from item management to the sloppy storytelling--feel underdeveloped. That said, buy it on sale if you're remotely interested. It's a steal for 10 bucks. Here's hoping a lot of people buy the upcoming Switch version, and Capcom announces a sequel.
