Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Nothing compares to this game, even after 15 years. Best game, best crpg, best Bioware game, put any best title and it'll surely have it. I love how Thedas is presented in this game, I love majority of companions (not you, Oghren). I'm just sad that there will never be a game like this again. Combat is pretty standard RTWP but in 3rd person rather than isometric. Perforance is good. Play it, you owe it to yourself. Then lament with us about how far the series have fallen.

Dragon age isn't as stand out as KOTOR or Mass Effect but it packs just as much a punch. Origins is arguably the best in terms of dark fantasy atmosphere & brutal storytelling.

Dragon Age Origins is honestly the best game I have played in a long time. The world and it's different factions are interesting, and you being able to choose your own backstory really makes it possible for you to completely immerse yourself into this game. If you like games like Baldur's Gate you will love this game, it's filled with truly great companions and other characters and your decisions actually feel impactful to the story. Also, I initially bought this game over at Steam where it was completely unplayable, thank the Maker for the good people at GOG for making this game playable for people like myself who have never played it when the game came out and who aren't as adept in performing the many manual fixes this game needs to be playable.

I wish they made the other games similar to this, it is a legendary title.

Even with this game on the "Preservation Program" there is a lot of bugs with the game, also issues with the installation like not getting NIVIDIA Phsyx files to acrually run the game. Crashes, very slow loading, stuttering, audio bugs when skipping dialoge. One last issue is difficulty. Even on Normal it can feel overtly punishing, outright unfair with how some enemies are and relying on RNG for your hits and dodges.
