Dragon age origins is a classic dark fantasy game. It's a franchise that has been discarded by EA and left to rot in the scorching heat

No controller support and memory problem
Very good game, still in 2024. + great rpg + good story and combat - no controller support (so had to play with ROG Ally or sim) - memory problem give you crashes. A mod fixes the problem, but shoulld not be nec.

One of the greats
Dragon Age: Origins remains one of the best RPGs I have played over the years. The story does a great job at drawing you in and keeping you hooked until the end. I especially enjoy how many meaningful choices I can make to shape my story. The only thing I didn't like about this game is that it suffers from memory leak issues at the highest graphics settings and crashes often as a result. Some areas are pretty much unplayable because of it. I sorted this issue by lowering my graphics to medium but there are mods out there that address this issue as well.

New Genre I wasn't used to
I've always wanted to play games with RTwP combat, but Pathfinder was too confusing, this is fantastic.
