Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Dragon Age: Origins is one of the best RPG’s of the 2000’s and I have no complaints about the game. I do, however, have complaints about GOG. The game did not work upon purchase, crashes during the launch screen every time, and GOG did nothing to resolve the issue. They refused me a refund (the game was on sale of $5.99) due to “technical limitations”, and sent me a list of FAQ solutions. I tried the fixes and they did not work. J never heard back. I strongly recommend this game. I just recommend you purchase it from an outlet that will help you resolve the problem or refund the game. Because GOG claim of helping to maintain older games to run in newer systems is nonsense.

The game worked almost perfectly for the first few hours, with only a couple of minor visual glitches during that time, but certainly nothing to complain about. Eventually the "Resume" button on the main menu caused the game to crash and return to desktop, but I was still able to continue from the "Load Game" menu. A few hours further into the game and it is now impossible to load any saves. The loading screen still plays the background animation and music as normal, but then the music cuts out and the game immediately quits to desktop. The game was updated through the GOG app, and I've looked into other fixes too, but it is stuck like this and it is unplayable now.

I love this game and is my favorite RPG game with all DLC naturally, however take into consideration that the origin version is 24 GB, and the GOG version is 36 GB, I dont know why it heavier
