Door Kickers: Action Squad

As a big fan of the previous game by Killhouse games (Doorkickers) I was looking forward to getting Action Squad on gog. Like the name implies action squad is a big blast of action fun with some well done humor and a touch of strategy here and there. Not only do you get a good bunch of levels to play, there is also co-op play, infinite mode, zombie mode and a bunch of difficult challenge missions to try and complete. Along with that each class Breacher, Assaulter, Shield, Agent, Recon all play different. The retro look graphics are well done as is the level designs and artwork in general and the soundtrack goes great with the game and it's action. A game I'm proud to own. Highly recommended.

Door Kicker: Action Squad is a great coop shooter. It is streamless to play with a friend through GOG galaxy, unlike Door Kicker where we have yet to figure out how to join a hosted game. Action Squad has a suitable difficulty curve. When you learned the gameplay pattern, the game throws you a curve ball forcing you to adjust your play style to achieve a 2 star or greater rating. Character upgrades keep the gameplay loop fresh and are a necessity. Controls are tight and responsive, especially using a controller (used a PS3 controller with appropiate drivers). The keyboard experience is not the optimal interface for this game. My only complaint about the game is there is no level selection screen after you finish a level. You are forced to either advance to the next level, or exit and recreate a new coop session. Higly recommend this game over Dook Kickers if you are looking to play with a friend. Verdict: Buy It

I don't mind that DRM is present in a game. What I DO mind is the presence of DRM while GOG claiming "DRM Free". GOG, please reverse course - you're about to hit an iceberg.

I see similarities with "BroForce", maybe graphic designer or gamedesigner were same, and it plays quite similar to BroForce, but, and don't even know why, but it wasn't as fun as BroForce. Maybe it is like BroForce - it must be played with somebody to get pleasure.
