Door Kickers is an innovative real-time strategy game that puts you in charge of a SWAT team and lets you command them during a tactical intervention.
Analyze the situation, plan team routes, choose equipment, breach points and coordinate multiple troopers to reach the hostage room before the bad guys get to press that trigger.
It may sound daunting, and like real world CQB combat, it sure is. But most levels can be completed in minutes, and on the fly improvisation works.
Achieving the perfect plan for getting the mission done with no false steps; that is a skill not easily mastered.

I got it on sale for $5, but it would have been more than worth it at full price. I've owned it for less than a week and gotten dozens of hours out of it already. Looking forward to dozens more and moving on to the esteemed sequel.
Came out in 2014. It's very easy to run, no need for advanced hardware. The controls are simple but also deep (easy to use, hard to master). The scenarios are very fun to play through. It's kind of addicting to keep trying different tactics and battle plans to keep all your men alive and kill the bad guys as fast as possible.
It is very rewarding to draw up a thorough battle plan and then press play and watch your squad flawlessly execute it.
I highly recommend, especially if you can get it on sale.
Good AI on maps without single walkthrough way. Player better be prepared to watch for corners, think how to open door, do several simultaneous actions and do your missions fast.
If you have much time and you prefer to do missions without casualties - you can show your tactics skills in planning and see how your plans will work.
If you have only several minutes free time - you can play game like a RTS with cheat on your demand in 'Pause/play' option.
Also - good fast support, community forum where you can find/download additional modes
For me the joy of this game is to stack your dominoes in the perfect way, watching them ALL fall in order as you stand back in awe. You que actions for your doorkickers, so 1 moves here, opens and then flashes. You time the next guy to come right behind the flash and clear left. The one who open is peeking right, and goes in behind the 2nd guy clearing right. Oops, there's a guy hugging the door on the left side, doorkicker dead. Reset and redo. As someone not skilled at room clearing irl, this is fun trying to figure out why I just got totally wrecked when I set them all up perfectly!
You can control characters in real time, but I didn't enjoy that nearly as much as the dominoe way to play.
