Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition is so complex that I think everyone will find something to like, whether it's combat or an exciting story. The best thing I can say about it is that if I'm asked what I liked about it, I can't pinpoint something. It's the complete experience and the feeling of joy that it left behind.

Awesome Game and VERY approachable
So much to do, and see, so many options, and quality of life mods built into the game, if that's your style (post character creation respec options etc) - These types of RPGs can seem overwhelming, and this game can be if you want it to be. The devs were smart and included many different play options, including a "story mode" where the combat is hardly daunting, up to basically a hardcore mode with permadeath. It's cool that one game can accomodate many different play styles as opposed to just a difficulty/stat adjustment. The story is compelling, and the mechanics are satisfying and fun.
