The eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG. Gather your party. Master deep, tactical combat. Join up to 3 other players - but know that only one of you will have the chance to become a God.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.

Who will you be?

A flesh-eating Elf, an Imperial Lizard or an Undead, risen from the grave? Discover how the world reacts differently to who - or what - you are.

It’s time for a new Divinity!

Gather your party and develop relationships with your companions. Blast your opponents in deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Use the environment as a weapon, use height to your advantage, and manipulate the elements themselves to seal your victory.

Ascend as the god that Rivellon so desperately needs.

Explore the vast and layered world of Rivellon alone or in a party of up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. Go anywhere, unleash your imagination, and explore endless ways to interact with the world. Beyond Rivellon, there’s more to explore in the brand-new PvP and Game Master modes.

  • Game Master Mode: Take your adventures to the next level and craft your own stories with the Game Master Mode.

Bad progression design

1st island is very fun and engaging but 2nd island is a complete nightmare. Mobs completely OP and progression of mob levels is all over the place. Loved the 1st Divinity original Sin but this one is not fun at all.

Great combat, terrible story.

This is a very uneven game. The combat itself is awesome with great tactical possibilities. But, the story is one chaotic mess. There are no waypoints, which in itself would be fine, if quest descriptions and hints would actually tell you where you need to go. But no, most of the time it involves running aimlessly around, hoping that you stumble upon next piece of some quest.

One of the best RPGs

After playing BioWare games, I was really happy to discover Larian. This is one of my favourite games of all time and I am still not tired of replaying it, years later. The turn-based combat is tons of fun and greatly improved compared to the previous game. The classes are completely flexible, which means you can mix any skills you want and create any kind of build you like. The story and the characters are interesting and there are a lot of different choices you can make. DOS2 has a lasting quality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs, a good, immersive story and turn-based combat. I hope we'll someday see another game from this series.

Gem with some problems

Supported this as a kickstarter so was invested from the start, wanted to love it. It's tactical RPG with decent story and graphics held back by some flawed mechanics and systems. Think Baldur's Gate with updated visuals. Graphics: Generally well done, limited character creation options though. Spells and animations are well done and thankfully the settings can be adjusted and vague advice for what to reduce to improve performance. Sound: Some great music and sound effects, rate this pretty well. Gameplay: Strong with a decent story that follows the previous game. Battles are turn based and tactical in that your party should synergise their skills, this is the flaw though in that it leads to a party that is all about buffing a single character to nuke the enemies out (usually a rogue works best) and these supports shrink from the combat themselves and just keep to propping up the DPS. The turn based system works well enough although there are times where the rules seem to be bent and even broken drastically to make teh game have advantage over the player that seems very lazy artificial difficulty. First 2 chapters are strong while the 3rd is really poor and the 4th barely scrapes it in with limited content and buggy quests. The crafting system is terrible and looks to have been added just as a trope, it is superficial and has almost no utility excep[t potions, it is a sorely lacking aspect of the game - this game could have really shined with some real effort in the crafting to make up for the itemisation. The game has random loot that very quickly becomes all about uniques and divine items and anything else is mostly garbage. A lot of the items have poor synergy and a slew of mismatched stats such that builds become directed one way but have confused stats in there as well. There is mod support that fixes some of the crap, but it is severely limited. Overall it is in no means a bad game but the flaws will shine through toward the end and sour the experience.

Very Overyhyped

I like CRPGs, I like D&D, but I do not like this game. I get it, it's a good RPG, but the amount of drooling over this thing is just not deserved. I'm not going into a detailed review because you probably know what you're buying if you're looking at this. Ultimately, much of the game tends to just be tedius and annoying fetch quests and the battles that, while fun, also tend toward tedium after a while. Save-scumming is basically a requirement here. Press F5 at every chance you get or you'll just risk wasting hours of your time. As a 30-something with a job and other responsibilities, I just don't want to risk having wasted a bunch of time only to hit some snag (teleporting to the wrong area, getting stuck, etc) only to realize that "oops, didnt F5, guess I screwed myself out of and hour." Get this on sale. I snagged it for about 60% off and, at that price, I don't really care about dropping it. That said, all these 5 star reviews from years ago must be by fanboys or people who are all too happy to just gloss over what is, ultimately, just an OK game.
