I've played some of the older divinity games but never could get them to stick as much as I wanted them to and I believe I came across this game last year but ignored it because it had awful reviews but seeing it on here and all the amazing reviews I decided to go for it, esspecially for the price [sale]. Holy crap these graphics are really nice for todays standards, I mean wow. This skill tree isnt crazy huge but they are interesting to say the least, I think the ability to create a golem out of dead parts found on your adventure is super neat. This is definitely a hidden gem and if you're a fan of Rpgs grab this one.
Talk about a love hate relationship. I could tell the game was good. But like a lot of reviews i had the crash at start up. You must have PhsyX installed. Now to make that even worse there is a new version an old version and an even older version of PhysX. I grabbed this version 9.19.0218.
Ok so finally I got past the start up mess and boom I'm in game and it looks horrible. Every line is a jagged mess. There is no antialiasing working at all. Tune every in game setting. Every graphic card setting. Nothing.

RenderMethod="0" = Awesome looking beautiful game
The game itself is Awesome. Run around fufill quests. Smack baddies down. Good story to keep you going.
Save before dialogs and have fun with the Larians sense of humor.
I have played many rpg games...love fallouts, oblivion, skyrim, witcher...etc...dint think this one going to be any better or would have anything new to offer. but i was wrong....this game is very unique in its own way...i played it for about 10 hours and really love this game. i think the devs did everything the right way and with love.
i advise everyone to buy this game, if you like this type of games, there's no way you wont like this one.
It is about time to write some review for this game. Complete voice over (VO) in several languages, the English and the German VO is very well acted and characters don't try to be too serious in the dialogues. Especially the mind reading ability, helps to determine friend and foe.
The graphics are great, a mix of doable textures without going into comic-style like WoW for example. Combat is fluent and often quite challenging with different abilities and equipment if you are in human or dragon form.
Lots of lore is provided in books with about 1-3 pages, some books are even read to you by the game master.
Items, items, items in form of uniques with stories behind them, sets with complete stat bonuses, normal, enhanceable, craftable, normal magical items. All with random effects.
Choice matters a little, the voice in your head (like a second game master but more in a possession kind of way) will judge your decisions but this doesn't effect the overall outcome. There is no way to 'lose' the game with a wrong choice.
0% of the game, you are a noone with a wooden stick and some training from the academy
10% of the game, you are a trainee and learn to know about the overall story
25% of the game, your choices matter and influence others, you can handle yourself, make your own decisions
50% of the game, you become a dragon knight with your own servants, the future of many people depends on you
...
Great game! The best thing about this game is the unique quests. No two quests felt the same. This is a great relief after playing a lot of AAA "large open world" games where same quests are repeated many times to make the game world bigger. Also, exploration is highly rewarded, with many secrets scattered throughout the game. The only downsize (a little) is that the graphics may feel dated.
